*sigh* so after a month or so of absence I finally had time and access to PS to make a wall... mononoke hime is one of my all time favorites, and this is one of my favorite moments in the whole movie =) I love the way it makes you understand that a god brings both life and death with just a touch or a breath... I hope you guys get what I'm going for with this... xD anyway, I vectored the screencap and did my best with the brushes and vectors to make the plant things growing and dying at the same time look nice, I added texture of course... I seem to be incapable of not adding texture to my walls xD. I might change it later if I get any new ideas, but I don't know when I'll have time again so this is it for now. enjoy~!

Yes! I remember this scene!
I personally think the hooves of the Forest God is not all that attractive, but you certainly captured it very well. The font is also very nicely done!
Somehow I think the hooves and spouts can be smaller and you can leave a bit more background space. This can give the impression that there is some physical distance (a metaphor for the distance between us and the Forest God).
Beautiful vector!

Oh yeah this was a beautiful scene, I understand completely how the beauty of the taking of life and the giving of life is a circle few choses to see, I love how it's so simple but packs a big impact, u did an amazing job on the vectoring and the brush work, this deserves a highlight for sure. I even love the lettering on the title, it's a work of art in my book C= A+ and a fav

And you just did an amazing job, it rawks so hard :3 and I'm too impressed by your work, to write in proper english... ;_; anyhow, you deserve ** 2** favs but you will only get one! :P lol... it's going to be my new desktop btw.^^

I personally actually love the brushes under the paws, especially how they seem "molded" around the paws instead of just slapped on there (as in if all the brushes were on top of the image). The text is really nice as well, along with the brush behind it. However, I personally wouldn't use this wallpaper, as the image itself isn't that appealing, in my opinion at least. I'd love to see the first technique I mentioned in more wallpapers though.

Damn it! No widescreen version! *cries* Other than that I absolutely love it, great combo of colors and great capture of the moment. +fav

Pretty. I also love Princess Mononoke and this scene too. You did a great job vectoring it and turning it into a wallpaper. My only two complaints are the text (it totally ruins it in my opinion) and there's no widescreen version *weeps*!
Awesome wall though, I love it!

Oh, gorgeous! The colors on top of the dark BG is awesome! I also really like how the leg in the back is darker, it really gives the front one a big impact. And this scene just makes such a nice wallpaper! I think having this very glowy would look great too, and give it more of a magical feel. Well, I fave!

got to say that missed your cute avy =P got to say that the difference of the color between the front feet and the behind, gives the right atmosphere of the movie for those that didn't saw, the plants spawn from every step he forest god gives and wither right away fav

This was my favorite scene tooo! youre awesome cheche, I love the wall. The texture on the foot seems kind of odd and realistic, but I still love it XD

A most excellent concept! Keep up the good work =)

awesome scene, very nice job on capturing that, it might just be me but the nails of the forest spirit look kinda weird. maybe the shadow should be on the nails instead of the hooves, because the way it is makes it look like they are hovering over his paws.

Wow, I think you did a GREAT job with this shot. Personally, i don't find the god that much attractive so when i first saw it, my reaction was very...strange. But i think this wallpaper is wonderfully made. =D
good job! keep it up!!!

So cool! I always loved that scene in Mononoke Hime where you see the Forest Spirit walking with the plants growing beneath its feet and die when it lifts its feet. It's such a bittersweet life/death scene. :3 Thanks for walling this pretty scene - it turned out great. Only thing a bit odd is the texture on the green part of the feet, but it doesn't ruin the wall or anything. Great job! +fav

This is awesome! I love the organic feel of abstract plant like design. It's a simple wallpaper too; no background, however it is not needed at all since the focus is on the feet and such. Very nice, I like this a lot. +fav

very nice , i loveee it >< i love how you make it very abstract ^^ love the text arrangement

I don't like the green you used.. i think it looks too fresh compared to the black bg. >_< But it's nevertheless a great wall, the idea is really lovely and I simply love your brush and vector work =D

yes sir, enjoy we shall the idea is very fresh and charming most of the flowers are swell, except for the ones that look like simplistic firework (dots and elipses?!), which would be those around the front foot the flowers around back foot are pure gold im not too sure whether the dying effect can be recognized by someone whos not familiar with princess mononoke, but thats not too important oh and i would call it "touch" rather than "breath"

yes i still remember that scene even though i saw it long time ago
it really reminds me on how life can be taken away from as just like that by
unforseen force yet it manage to give the impression on how wonderful life is
even though its pretty short.
Thats what i think when i see ur wallpaper it is indeed one of the best wall for
me. THNX for sharing +fav

Love the vectoring, and the brushwork is fabulous! I really like the outer glow you gave the font, but it'd be nice if you'd done that to the plants too; give it a more mystical feel.

i love the contrast with the foreground/background, life/death, and between the straighter sturdier lines of the hooves against the curly and wild growth. I actually like the black; it makes it simple, but it's very clean and you can really focus on what i'm assuming you want people to focus on.

just awesome! :)

Wow!!! So magic, as the Forest God I like so much the black background, to emphasize the life coming out the God´s hooves. Definitely, one of the best Mononoke´s walls

This is an amazing wallpaper. One of my favorite scenes from Princess Mononoke! I also agree with perhaps calling it "Touch" instead of "Breath"

Boy, how beautifull a anime cam be??? You did a good vetor work here, yep!!!

It's so different from the style of the movie's artwork. You've done a wonderful job, I think you captured the living/dying plants wonderfully. +fave

now this is a beautiful wallpaper! Some parts of it seem out of place to me though, for example, the fur on the legs has a black outline around it, when nothing else does.

WOW the wallpaper looks so mysterious and so subtle - i really like it

I remember this moment in the movie. What staggering imagination Hayao Miyizaki has to create such stories. Anyways, nice wallpaper.
