Claymore Guilty Sky

love the scan, like the sky, hate the rocks. I know you can do better than that, which makes me think you just got lazy, or didn't know what to do with them. they just look...stock photo + filter : / I would have also moved the sun over to the left just a smidge more. It needs just a little bit more to have the angle to cast so much light on that side. but thats me being nitpicky. Should be an easy fix though. Also, I would do some color adjustment to the sky. considering the color of the scan, I'd add a color layer over the dark green parts of the sky. They just don't match color-wise. I think the wall is okay, but it has so much potential to be great. But ifn othing else...pleas...PLEASE fix the rocks ;-;

I agree with everything Kalico said. The concept is good (I was thinking of a similar one), but the execution doesn't deliver it as strong as it could. The rocks are a big issue for me, as they look too filtery. The colors are another thing...they don't seem to match completely. Maybe a gradient map over everything may tweak the colors a bit.

The rocks are still a bit "bleh", but everything else is really good! I like the colors and general organization of this wallpaper. Nice work!

The scene in this wall is great. I like the sky and all, but as others have mentioned, the rocks needs some fixing. =/ However i love the fact that you blurred and reduced the opacity of some of the petals. It has a nice and realistic effect on them. ;D

The sky is nice, the petals are great, the rocks.. well everyone else basically said everything about the rocks, hehe. What stands out for me, though, is how paper-y the character looks over the background. She looks so flat and doesn't blend in well.. the monotone colour scheme on her just stands out so much against the background... maybe it is the scan's edges too. Great concept, though.

I love the background, the sky and the scenery are great. The scan you used is really nice.

Here's a basic question you should always ask yourself before adding effects to a wall, like flower petals, sun-beams, bubbles, sparkles, you name it... does it make sense and seem appropriate in the wallpaper? In this case, the flower petals are totally in the wrong place... Clare is walking through a barren wasteland with no vegetation behind here, so where did the flower petals come from? They might not look bad, but in the end it just makes it look like your adding fan-favorite effects hap-haphazardly just to cover up other problems in the wall. If you're going to add flower petals, put Clare in a grove of trees or something, or if she's walking through barren territory maybe instead of flower petals do something like grit and dust.

I don't meant to be too harsh, but I see a lot of wallers doing stuff like this (ie, sparkles and planets, ect) to make crappy wallpapers look better. Sometimes effects like this are appropriate, but most of the time it's just throwing out effects cause they're popular and they look cool.

As for the rest of the wall, it looks way too filter-heavy, like on the rocks and on Clare as well. It's not a bad wall overall, but I think it could be much better with a little effort and thought.

Beautiful Clare wall. The scenery fits her character well. I also thought the ending was very medicore but thats why we always have the manga :)

Oh, nice. Saw this kind of late. I like how you made it reminiscent of the scene from the opening. I think everything works in the image except the rocks, they either needed to be more cartoony or more realistic, but they're kind of in a half way point. Love the flower petals though.

I like it. I wont say a word about the rocks because they were everybody's complain XD. In general terms is a good wallpaper and I like that epic atmosphere.

LOL the rocks xD They're actually really nice, but I think their metallic-ness (little bits of white?) throws everything off. The main thing that's bothering me is the extraction of the scan. The outlines are jagged in several places, and there are some parts that are left in that shouldn't be (like the little bit of brown between Clare's sword and leg that I believe is part of a rock in the original scan). Also, given the amount of light that hits her, I think there should be more light shining through the gaps in her hair. I absolutely love the sky and the petals though. It's so beautiful that I must fave :)

I really like this wallpaper because I love Claymore! The rose petals are well done because they add to Clare's character and they appear in the ending credits. I have seen the entire anime series and I just love the way you created this wallpaper. Very good job and keep up the good work! My new favorite!

Fascinating wallpaper you got there. And yeah Claymore was nice until they showed the last episodes"-_- Good work in combining the flower petals from the ending of the anime in the background of the wallpaper. The background looks a bit less worked than the scan though if you catch my drift. The scan itself is okay but the background looks more real than this picture of Claire and I don't know if they make a good match (although the original idea of combining them IS nice and commendable). However it is still one of the nice Claymore wallpapers so even if you leave it like that there's not much harm done^_^

I didn't see the rocks before, so I don't know how they looked then, but they look alright to me. I'm not sure which DVD cover this is from, or if you got creative and meshed Clare in with an image from the closing theme, but either way, I really like this. ^_^

I really like it, the wallpaper represents very well the claymore ending: Guilty Sky (by Riyu Kosaka).

Maybe a vectorized version with vivid colors could improve this wallpaper, it's just my personal point of view. Anyway good work.

Eh, not that great. Clare has this strange haze around here that looks like bad blending. The scene is way too filtered and just comes across as hazy. I also could have done with a bit more darkness, as she IS walking through a barren wasteland, and I feel that the ray of sun and the FLOWER PETAL are entirely out of place with the rest of the feel. It also doesn't even look like she is walking, rather floating. This could have been better.

I liked the use of the ending as a background, the leaves make for a sense of serenity. As for the rocks, the imperfection actually blends w the sky in my opinion, allowing the character to stand out all the more. The contrast, while a little forced, isn't too drastic. A beautiful wallpaper.

The initial confusion with the rose petals is a nice touch. Knowing the series' subject matter, one may not realize those are scattered flower petals and not the gratuitous slinging of blood.
