Dedicated to entity1660. Why? For many reasons. First reason, I owe her. Second reason, I still feel bad for vectoring a scan that she's doing. Most important reason? She's one of my great friends here <3 Thanks for always being someone I can look up to, my onee-san, and a role model for all other vectorers as well as me! :)

Also my entry for a contest at MT. Theme: winter romance. (Okay, so it doesn't look very romantic. But it's Sakura and Syaoran, alone in the middle of nowhere, enjoying the first snow together.)

Now for all the usual description stuff, huh? Hm...

First off, this is the most time-consuming vector of my entire vector career. 29 hrs, beating my previous 22. I didn't expect it to take quite so long (I estimated 20 hrs), but I guess it's because I spend so much time on every detail. Even though in the end, you can't really tell. (Abul-kun said he could do it in 6 hrs; he's probably right x_x).I hate frills >_< There's all kind of lighting effects here, on their hair, the sword, even their clothes, but you can't see it much. 3 hours was spent on colouring the staff alone, because I tried some of that multi-layered vectoring that gives it a painty-look. My first time doing that, you can tell me how it went.

The original scan had text and boxes covering parts of it, so getting around that was a bit difficult...but I've done much harder reconstruction before so this wasn't so bad. I don't know what else to say about the vector except it took too long x_x

Now the wall. I tried some more painting. I know I'm not that good, but I'll improve, right? I painted the snow and mountains myself (I like the mountains on the right), and the clouds were part of another scan that I painted over. Oh, and the tree was from a Kanon scan but I also painted over it. I do realize that the wall seems kind of empty; however I realized the more I add to walls, the worse they get. So a nice simple wall will do, I guess.

Issues: (a) You might be thinking that for this to be the first snow, there's too much snow. Well you're wrong! What's ironic is that while I was making this wall, it snowed for the first time. And it snowed a LOT. Here's a picture of it just after it started, and it continued (it's still snowing right now, days later). Kya, I love snow! I was so happy when it first snowed...*goes into Fuuko starfish mode* (b) You might think Sakura would be cold in this outfit. But I believe if she can rollerblade in the winter in her short-skirted seifuku, then she'll be just fine. (c) It seems now that I adjust my monitor settings, you can't see the painted snow as much. I may update that later.

Don't worry I think the wall is romantic.

Well, hard to choose what I can say. OK, the vector is awesome done. All the details of Sakura's Dress are amazing and I love the light effects. Don't be sad that you need 29 hrs to make it. Abul is amazing and it seems that he is a vectoring machine because he is so fast.

I really like the snowy background. The painting is perfect done and I love the fact that you get rid of the tree. I really love the simplistic style (although I think that this wall isn't simple, just imagine the work for the vector). Ah, I wish I had snow in Germany. It was snowing some time ago but sadly the snow was gone some hours later :(

But I also have to say that I like the version with textures a lot more. I don't really know why but that's what I'm feeling.

Anyway, this wall is amazing and wonderful done. Fav+ for sure and thanks for the textured version ^.^

I don't think the time you took to make this really matters. The important thing is that it came out gorgeous ^_^ I love the vector and the snowy background is simply beautiful ^_^ To be honest the only part that I don't really like is the tree. I think the wall would look better without it, but that's just my opinion ^^'

oo a ccs wally :3 nice vector. the only thing i have to say about this wall is that the tree there leaning up against is too blurry and should be more in focus like the characters are. ehh.. and also the mountains kinda look weird :P but im just a picky bg person, so wtv xD nice job. +fav.

nice wallie!! =) but, the mountains are little bit odd for me and the pants of Shaoran... uhmmm... I thought is also a bunch of snow too... hahahaha ^_^ lol (seriously) ... and the wings and some parts of Sakura's staff is sort of unnoticeable bcoz of the snow... you know, camouflage... anyway, good work! ^_^ oh! one more thing... I just notice it recently... the sword of Shaoran... its kinda weird... it's too broad... you see, the way he hold it then at its tip... it's so big... like sword of Cloud... well, if its really in the scan then, its not your fault... hahahahaha... but its really weird...

I'm more a fan of the old Cardcaptor Sakura...so I'm loving this. Vector is clean except for a few little jagged lines, but it doesn't take away from the final product at all. I think the background could have had a little more elements like maybe trees or something, but it still looks very nice.

Wow a very classic romantic wallpaper of Sakura and Syaoran >:D Well it is been a while since I really see a really good Cardcaptor Sakura Wallpaper and this one is just perfect. The vectoring is very clean and the details are nice, no wonder you put many effort in making this wall. And good timing for choosing winter as the background (since it is December now) and really like the old Sakura in the Cardcaptor version. I like both the textured and nontextured version, it looks good with textures but it looks good without them too. 127 layers!? That's alot.. Very well done scan. Its clean. I like this scan of both Syaoron and Sakura.

I wish some of the outlines were feathered or anti-aliased a little. The weights of the lines seem too consistent. The fuzzy snowy background was a good addition.

sakura and shaoran.. a classic.. this two are the more wallpapered couple on the net?... i like the snow theme... the background is nice but ... it's always can b better... the black thing in the middle of they.. i can't know what is.. and.. looks a little strange and out of theme. i think u can put a little more of snowflakes...

The vector is neat. It looks awesome ^^ Thumbs up for the snowflakes :P So you painted the mountains at the back? Actually, I wasn't sure what they were when I first saw them... But I guess it's hard to draw everything from scratch... The snow-covered ground seems fairly realistic though... And, yeah, the tree is definitely not in its place. Uhh... in my opinion, it's not a very romantic scene but I guess it can go...

Syaoran and Sakura are definitely wonderful in that wallpaper! You did an excellent job with the vector!

Well, frankly a beautiful wallpaper, and I like it more because I remember Many things in this series, I started to see it since I was 8 years old and not well I stopped, so far I have seen all, but if I were I would see it all again, or that continue, say that tsubasa chronicals is more than to continue treatment (which was not the basic idea) rather treatment of perpetuating the characters even more than what they were doing and were a reminder of how their attitudes and personalities in the previous series, something that if I am disappointed a little tsubasa is the plot because I do not see very advanced and complex as the ones I like me, and then to complete a saludote and that he continue wallpapers of such excellent quality !!!!!!

What an exquisitely vectored image you have here!! I love it! I'm very impressed by your attention to detail to the frills and lace on Sakura's dress. The eye's look great and so do the highlights on Sakura and Shaoran's hair and clothing. The snowflakes are just the right amount too. The only things I can suggest is to add shadows on the ground in the background; It doesn't recede as much as it could. Also, even though it's snowing there's not many clouds hanging overhead. I think adding more would compliment the amount of snow on the ground.

It's so nicely presented! The wall itself is very clean and simple. I like the non-textured version more. But add some more variety of textures to differentiate the clothing and other items, I'm sure it'll look even more amazing then it already is.
