Simplyy way to fabulous to ignore. Mugen... if that's his name since I haven't watch this show for a long time... has a realistic feel to him. He looks so smooth. The background fits very well with it. No need to make it all complicated. I love that shade of blue. XD

I can't believe that this was based on a screencap. For me that's one of the most difficult images to work with, but you did an amazing job with it and really made it your own. I loved the shading on his face and neck, as well as the fish ^____^ (those fish fins are so cool!) its a pretty cool concept and great attempt, but honestly I feel it needs a few more subtle things added to it. I understand its simplicity, but the simplicity to me is making its '3d' nature look VERY odd. Otherwise, great job dude I like the composition and vibrant colors its awesome seeing people manipulating scans so much, and by hand.

This is so incredible. Firstly, of course, it's amazing how have you changed the screenshot into this awesome wall. It looks so real, the shadows of his face are really admirable and though it's very simple, I feel the depth and it doesn't evoke emptiness or something, it's nicely balanced. Plus, the fish is just cute, perfectly joined with the background and concept.

The background may be only just a plain blue background but the texture was really done well to bring out the 3D feel of Mugen. The fish swimming towards Mugen looks really real, reminds me of the 3D screensavers!

There is a whole lot of difference comparing the stock image of Mugen from the screenshot and what you have done in this wall.

It may have been long since AP last featured a wall,and this time, too my big surprise,is the rare style of wall featured,just as the comments say,it gives a 3-d feeling out of a 2-d design,the highlight and the shadows were drawn well and the colors of the man's kin is well-chosen,looking healthy,the feeling of the wall is good,too,the bg looks simple ,making the man steal all attentions of the viewers. The earing is great - the shinning is so well managed...!! Then, the most amazing is the smoothy skin - I really love the color, the smoothy texture, the shadowing - taste of real, combinated with the perfeccionism of a piece of pure silk... Purfect! it is realistic and this picture give me a deep impression as, its from one of the eps that does not contain much fighting . i guess.. but the its really nice. jus that the gold fish is abit of funny to me.. maybe i never seens those type of gold fish b4.

all I can say is WOW.

I have never seen something like this done so well. I have seen attempts on such a transformation but they have never gone to the length's that you have. That goldfish (I think its a goldfish. tell me if Im wrong) really gives an example to just how faint Mugen's slumber in the blackened deep truly is.

Not to mention the Color's really match Mugen's Deep Blue personality. His hair flows with great realism.

I've never been a fan of Champloo, but this wallpaper is amazing. To take something that is flat and a very distinct style and alter it to be such a perfect epitome of another style is very impressive. I personally adore the earring and the way it's bother hidden and emphasised by the colors.

Nice, but whether it was done fully in vector or you added dodge & burn in photoshop.. it still looks like the shading on the chin is too harsh and not gradiated enough. eg like bad dodge n burn.

But I could be wrong.

Either way i think it evokes mugens character pretty well.

The Mugen expression is simply awesome.

The wallpaper Looks Very, Very realist. In some parts looks pixelated (The contour of the face of Mugen and the Fish), but not much note, unless you set it in detail. Nothing that is not settled with a little blur tool.

Also add that the shadows look very well. Although the ear looks a bit odd. Small details to correct.

And I repeat: I love the expression of Mugen. But on the whole concept GREAT job. + Fav

I honestly think that you did a wonderful job of turning Mugen into a realistic character. I've seen some people try this and fail, but I think you were very successful in doing this. You've captured his features very well and you can definitely tell that's Mugen. I also think adding the fish in there is a nice touch too. It's color contrasts with the background so well and leads your eye straight down towards Mugen.

This has got to be one of the most realistic looking wallpaper that I've ever seen. I'm truly taken a breath back by this. All I can say is that you are very good at what you do and you should never stop doing it, this is simply an amazing wallpaper. At fist I thought that it might of been one of those CG characters but when I realized that this is Mugen from Samurai Shamploo, I was like no way. I could never do this so my hat goes off to you. Oh my gosh what an amazing image! I'm always shocked that artist are capable of what they do. Mugen is one of my favorite anime characters. And after Cowboy Bebop, I think every fangirl appreciated a character that was eerily similar to Spike. Well, as much as they were different at least it gave us some comfort. I mean, they had the same voice actor! Hehe.

Anyway, I love the wallpaper, and I'll definitely be snagging this one!

Your wallpaper is simply astounding, can you say REAL? Oh my God I love the way you polished this, for something that is rather simple in terms of theme/concept, the focal point of the protagonist is well defined. His appearance is so real that it almost scares me but in a good way. I have no idea of how you went about doing this but I will tell you that everything you have done, was worth it for this astonishing/amazing result.

The background holds it's own as well, the color is of a smooth and flawless blend and it compliments the character well. Oddly enough, the fish is one of my favorite feature in the wallpaper, it does not out shine the character in anyway but rather stands on equal ground, I like it's refinement and colors very much and I thoroughly enjoy looking at every aspect of this wallpaper. You did an amazing job in conjuring up this simple but beautiful concept and an ever greater job in polishing the focal point to perfection. Thanks for the good work!
