PHEWWWW...I'm tired. lol I thought I could easily tackle this, but boy, was I wrong. At first I was easygoing with the line art; it was not difficult. But then when I started to color, I panicked. I literally panicked. So I did this (and I'm not kidding either)---I drank caffiene soda and began coloring. When I got to Yuki's tunic I stopped and banged my head on the desk, thinking "I can't do this, I can't do this~" I even switched over to Illustrator to do the lines there. But I hate Illustrator to death because...because..I just hate it. I only keep the program in case I really needed it. But since I was almost done with the vector, I just decided to finish where I started it, and that is my beloved PS CS3. <3
Now about the difficult parts. First up was the eyes. If you guys remember "The Theory of Haruhi" in my gallery, the eyes were too blurred and ugly. But now, thanks to staring at Ashy-chan's Haruhi eyes of her vector, I got it down. But I only got the color of the scan to help me out, so I just chose those colors. So if they look dark, it's because it's in a nighttime setting. Please don't bite my head off. ><
Well, you guys know about the tunic...AH. There is Mikuru's present. A transparent layer is used here. So that sucked. XD I had to draw the transparent lines of her hair on another layer so it wouldn't overlap. Then there is the chocolate heart. I think it still sucks no matter how many times I tried to fix it. As long as it didn't look 2-D, I'm good. XD
Finally, what gave me the least amount of trouble was the coloring (the majority of it) and making snow. I was gonna use real life snowflakes, but I shook my head at that the last minute. The scan provided flurry-shaped snowflakes but I just went back to the simple oval and circular types because it was the most simple thing I could come up with. I was gonna add a lot of things but I didn't want to ruin it any more than I've done to it. Precaution notices, you know. XD

The wall itself comes down to the characters, and nothing looks out of place. Yuki's tunic is great (unless one stares at it for too long), and everything else looks flawless. I really enjoy look at this paper - good choice in everything that you did!

Loved how you fixed the Original Image really nice wall, and love the overall design. You did a great job for the tunic, love the vectors you did, even if you ahte illustrator, you did an amazing job with the parts of the original its a really nice haruhi wall, especially for the season

The scan looks like it was cleaned up pretty well. The background is nonchalant which might be a good thing and the snow flakes worked out pretty well.

This one looks like it was a lot of work! And it really paid off in the end, what a great vector job it is! And the cheery look of it is something that isn't seen all too often associated with this anime. No complaints as everything seems to be flawless and perfect to me (I re-checked). Anything else I say will just be more redundant praise, lol. Keep it up!

it really sucks for someone like me (who knows nothing about vectoring) when i get to an awesome wallpaper like this one and can find almost nothing to say about it except "it's awesome! great job!" or "wow! instant favorite!". it makes me feel like i'm fake praising, but here it goes. WHAT AN AWESOME PAPER! I LOVE EVERY BIT OF IT! (XD) and i'm being serious ok? haha i really like how it invokes a holiday feeling, even though the holidays are long gone. and it's so simply put together, and pleasing to look at. the only thing someone like me could possibly think of to change the paper, would be to make haruhi look like she's blushing a bit more, you know? maybe a little more pinkish or reddish? hehe. but thanks for putting this up. We need more originality that's sure, but that doesn't mean "classic" walls are bad. What counts is quality, and here you got both quality and originality ^^ (though you stay with your colours ). I think it looks a bit like a layout, anyway it looks cool and it's very well done. How to say, your work doesn't only focus on giving a background to the character, everything makes the picture look nice on a desktop .

nice work cleaning the scan, and good extraction ^^ I like the soft snow effects you've got in the front. Though the photograph in the background looks out of place, it's too realistic (it's generally a bad idea to use photo backgrounds with anime foregrounds...), you can try to median filter it a bit to get rid of the details, and then paint over or smudge a bit to get rid of the realism.
