Ah, at last it's complete! lol. I've been working on this wall for ages now XD I always wanted to make a Kenshin wall, and here it is! :D It's not always that I submit a new wall, only once in a full moon XD (or was that blue moon?)

Everything you see there has been vectored by me, the bg and Kenshin. It's a vector from a screenshot in Samurai X (Original screenshot). As you can see there is a lot of changes made, I'm not just talking about the obvious quality change, but some parts I had to completely redesign. I used a different screenshot, but only used some areas, to recreate Kenshin's face. The hilt of the Katana has been redesigned completely with greater detail, as well as the katanas in the bg (looky). I also made some small changes to the fingers. I really like how the piece of cloth (Tomo's scarf) came out. I used the smudge tool on that ^^

All the different wood textures I used was made by me as well. Not downloaded nor did I use some kind of tutorial to make it, it's self made. Same way I made the texture for my Casca wall (Left Alone) A lot of changes was made to the bg as well. To the left of the wallpaper I added more to the bg because of making a widescreen wall. When I added to to the left I used this screenshot for reference to add what was necessary. The light-box-thingy in the screenshot has thinner wood supports than the one in the original screenshot, so, because I'm making a wall of the original screenshot, I decided to use the thicker wood supports for the wallpaper. Here's another screenshot I used for reference to make the wallpaper and for you to give you more perspective on the room th wallpaper are based on. As you can see from that screenshot the support column, bulk or whatever you call it, against the roof is straight, but in the original screenshot it's curving downwards, so yea, I don't why that is, but the curved one looks better so I use it instead ^^

There's some minor differences between the widescreen and the normal res wall, such as the wooden stand plus katanas being moved from the left to the right. But the true version is the widescreen one.

I also added a tiny focus blur on the bg to make it look out of focus and give more focus to Kenshin, but it's not really that evident. I also wanted to add some sort of text, but that just didn't fit at all. Lastly, I slightly added a parchment texture over top to make things look less smooth and clean and give the wallpaper the appropriate feel.

I was a slave to this vector, but now that it's finished the reward is unparalleled (~_~) So I hope you like the wall as much I do ^^

Oh wow, this one better not get overlooked. Great re-working of the original scan, working with screenshots is a PAIN. I really like the mood you were able to establish with this, and the detail and crispness is wonderful. A+ fav.... :) ~Slaka

Amazing, from such a simple low detailed image you made that Kenshin's vector. I doubt I'd be able to do that ><.

From the look of the kenshin's vector, maybe it's the colouring, it looks kind 3d'ish, I am pretty sure heaps of people love them. It must have taken quite some effort and the wallpaper is pretty good... but somehow it's just not my kind of taste, probably because of the realism of the wallpaper.

wow, very nice wall. they really should have a catagory for "samurai X" too, because imo the artwork is way better when kenshin was the assassin in the remembrance, trust, betrayal, and reflection movies. it is a little plain, but still very awesome.

vectoring of the finest kind yet has some flaws while i absolutely adore the blanket, which looks almost real, i think his leg doesnt look by far as good and even has some trouble blending in some parts of the bg also look somewhat odd, or 2d or from another perspective, id say that the right side of the wall looks downright awesome and the left side is rather mediocre the overall impression is still a very good one

Beautiful!Simply beautiful!I can't forget this OVA,it just seemed so special,so sad and yes I cried p(T_T)q p(ToT)q and this wall brings me memories on how he used to sleep with his sword and at the slightest sound he was awake anyway except that this wall makes me appreciate it even more isnce is fully made of screenshots.But leaving aside the vectoring I just like the fact that you chosen very well the images and the anime too(9+_+) besides that the vector looks very clean,the colors are good and give the feeling of a static scene in the anime!Oh I can't abstain,it makes me feel like crying,I see the sadness in his eyes,wow you rendered well even that feeling!Congratulations,this is a very beautiful work!

Wow...saw this wall on your UP featured...You did an amazing job with the vector, and I love the feeling of the cloth...it seems so soft and silky (XD) And the textures you used on the woods in the backgrounds suits the overall feeling too. The light shining out enhances the feeling of peacefulness, and the lighting was done well~

Can't find anything wrong with this wall except that the X scar on Kenshin's face seems a little bit stiff, and his eyes don't look quite right. Other than that, everything rocks...Definitely a fav from me~
