Some critiques: - The focus point is a little hard to see, but it is there. The girl is clearer than the slightly blurred background, which is good, but the focus point should always be well-defined and easy to spot at first glance.

Some Good Points: - The simplicity mixed with detail is perfect - the plain background, which usually would be a falling point, actually works almost naturally well with the image you chose =). - The wings, though you say they are supposed to be mechanical, are perfect in my opinion. They add an air of abstract thought to the clearer, more focused picture of the character. - Your color choice matches nicely to the melancholy tone of the wall. - Love the rain! It's not the typical lines but has some sparkle and depth to it that shows you put some effort into it =).

All in all, keep up the great work! I can't wait to see more ^_^.

Wow.. it's beautiful.. I love the scene and the effects. Rain and blood are a pretty good combination. It's melancholy. I really like the wings. They're very well put. A thing that I would suggest though, is that the tint of the blood be a lighter shade. In the rain, it dampens, giving it a lighter color. even though it looks have been there for a while. She's unprotected from the weather anyway. That's it. Nice work! +fav

this is an awesome idea! i think you could take it one step further and maybe turn one of the fancy feathers into a bird and make the raindrops more varied- some transparent, some closer and bigger, etc. it's beautiful!!

Very emotional wallpaper. The rain adds a nice effect to the overall scene, the wings also compliments on the colors with its highlights and shadows. I would suggest a dark, almost black background

I'm just now watching this anime and this wallpaper looks freaking amazing. I like the rain effect you added, it gave it alot more impression.

ah yes Chise... perhaps one of the most tragic heroines that I've ever experienced... I've always liked this image of her and the modifications are done quite well. Particularly I like the take on the wings, the whole dark and frayed look fits with her character quite well. A take on her emotions rather than the raw machine that her body becomes perhaps... The picture does seem to be off center a bit, though this seems to be done to accomodate the right wing... and the detail is frankly worth it. Awesome wallpaper for an awesome series ^_^

Red, a defining characteristic of Saikano. Whether it be blood or blush, you will see it countless times throughout the series. The crimson haze and rain reminds me of the second to last episode. A near perfect depiction of the post-battle Chise. A small band-aid on her arm and some mechanical elements to her wings are the two things I would have liked to have seen on this composition. My favorite element in this wallpaper are the droplets that formed when the rain came into contact with Chise and her wings. A commendable job overall, and a new desktop for me.
