I like what you did with the text and the overlaying texture looks very nice. You need to work on your extraction a bit, the hair in particular needs some help (it should curve naturally, not bend suddenly). To fix this you might need to start with a larger original image (usually the best solution), or go back with the pen tool and redo the hair outlines a bit (another solution I used occasionally when dealing with smaller, lower quality scans).

It isn't anything major, but my only complaint would be the untapered lines of the vector. The buildings look wonderful, and I really like the colors. Now go make me a textless version. X3

haven't commented in a long while =3 so busy with everything going on. wow, i luv the colors, simply but nice. Well, there really isn't anything to complain about...except maybe you could improve on the outlines of the vector. i hafta say it again, i luv the tone--blue and black... matches my mood. was just watching GSD and am listening to Rie Tanaka's Fields of Hope. so sad...

I love the picture u picked. Specially having them both with wings and making Daisuke's wing so cute and adorable. Ur background is also very nice but the white is contrasting a bit. I would have kept it the blue all the way. But great picture.

i like the dark contrasting of colors here, it makes the wall look mysterious. and i like what you did with the font effects and the texture looks great too, though this one piece of the characters hair looks like it was cut off at one part, but im not sure what the scan looks like either. but other then that great job ^^
