Metal Gear Solid No Heros

with mgs4 preordered since beggining of month, i give you my support. i have the exact same feeling xD

about the wall, if you really done what you say on your descript, you done a awesome job. snake mainly looks ... well like snake, raiden looks less manly on the original tough >:D the coloring, you sure done a good job on it, painter ftw, even tough some people might not like how it looks,however this is how painter works looks

...but Otacon required a ref...because nobody cares about the guy that pisses his own pants... who said he pissed? looking at the posters inside the lockers i bet he was doing another thing

well, fav edit: you forgot the red light on snake optical something i dont remember the name xD

This is badass, man. I can't wait till it comes out. The sketchy look almost looks like the artwork in the games. My only gripe would be the text on the bottom. I can't point my finger as to how to fix it, but it's ok. Nice wall! :D

Finally ..a MGS wall (9+_+). We seriously need more of these....>.< Overall ..i like the wall. You're drawing skills are tight. Shadign and all looks good too. Don't really like the look on snakes fac tho, he looks al lil 2 high ;p. I still need to play mgs3..so 4 is gonna wait for me ;p

That's some very unique and nicely styled painting you did there. I also like the stylized paint brush splashes, and you did a really nice job painting the characters from scratch. I don't really like the anatomy of Otacon's face, but everything else looks awesome, especially Raiden.

I'm not a fan of the smaller text, but it does fit, and it is your style. Nice work man. +fav

Wow, never played around with a tablet before myself but I will after seeing this. It isn't sharp like a vector but I actually like this style, it give the characters more personality and depth. Maybe make the color overlay tones a little more vibrant, make parts of the characters stick out. I'm not a fan of text on walls but you title in red is amazing nice text choice. I would have left out the text blended in with the characters, it doesn't add anything and where is "courage is solid" anyway? Just kidding, nice sketch work.

First off, it's spelled Heroes not Heros. Secondly, I'm surprised at the feedback because I think this wallpaper looks bad. Now let me qualify myself first, before I start a fanboy flame war. The wallpaper just has too much text stuffed in all the nooks and cranies, and I think this is something that really degrades from the wallpaper's style, because I put a wallpaper on my desktop to look out and not to read, so the fact that there is so much text all over the place makes it seem a little schizophrenic and cluttered. Third, the characters are shaded with two colors: black and white, and while there is nothing against using these too colors, they need to be used in moderation, for an entire wallpaper like this with it just makes the colors mesh into the point where they become incoherent and indistinguishable for me (i.e. where is snake's left side of his face?) Then I remember that this is a tablet sketch, which I give you full credit for, because for what you did it is amazing, but in bringing it over to photoshop and the other tools at your use, you shouldn't be afraid to add some color, especially if a lot of the shading is going to fight with the character outlines for supremacy like with snake's face, which tends to be the focal point, and when the focal point is confusing and displeasing to look at the wallpaper losses credibility. This is also where the words in the background fight with snake because a sketch with a load of words, which inevitably are covered up or at least cut off by his head essentially defeat the purpose of them. The words just take away from the sketch in that the sketch style and then the very acute lettering fight because of their differences like the French and English in the 15th century. So what am I trying to say in conclusion? Well to sum it all up I think the wallpaper is bad. The random blobs of shading which I presume to be blood, meshed with the shading and outlined characters in the two generic colors of black and white where the only diversity is in the tone of the black used make for something that seems like pencil meshed all across my screen in the end, which does not make something enjoyable for me to look at. I'm sure others will disagree and that's fine, but these are my takes on it. I commend you a lot for a great sketch, but the absence of color really defeats it as a wallpaper, because a color-less sketch is fine for something like Deviant Art, but on my desktop I do not particularly take a liking to it.

Great as an art piece but not so good as a wallpaper. Some blank space would be nice. Not sure about the typeface on all those 'blurbs' there, I'm not an expert but try something without serifs and see if that works. Nice signature.

really cool wall, i like the colors, bright colors and some dark for contrast. good job on it. Kinda agrees with Milly-Bomb that its not so suitable for a wallie in my opinion but very nice.

Even though the drawing is a little sketchy. I really like it and like to thank you for giving props to MGS4. This gives MGS4 justice and is a good drawing. It would be interesting what it would look like with color.

I actually quite like this, the characters are really well done and the words on the side only add to it and don't get in the way as is the case with many other wallpapers. I won't be using it as a wallpaper since it's just too harsh on the eyes. Still, great work. ;)
