Background looks a bit "chaotic"

If you know what I mean..

Stars could have been processed with more "Natural Looking" effect...not just some random pop up bright dot..

But Guan Yu still looks d**** hot!

the concept is good and yes agree with u BT-FK ..with this type of scan the stars dont look suiteable..need more realistic stars to fit the scan and using mass dots wont do. ur dragon looks good on BG but again I dont think it goes well with scan.

oh...so i see you changed the background for the previous version ...i prefer this one than the previous one ...haha..by the way...can u make 1 wallpaper where guan yu is at the center of the wallpaper ? so that it wouldn't feel like the right hand side is empty ...as the dragon didnt caught my attention at 1st glance on this wallpaper..xD

Since you were aiming for a constellation background, I'll throw in some ideas and suggestions.

The starry background needs to be lighten up a lot. Then take the dragon and make it more transparent so that you can barely see it. Around the dragon, clear out the stars in the background and start inserting your own. Certain stars should be brighter to act as "points" when people "draw" the constellation in their mind. Viewing real constellations in astrology will help you draw this out and make one of your own.

One could probably find a stock generated image of a starry sky and do the above procedure. Or simply generate one of your own if you can.

One last critique, no widescreen? I'd like to see this in 1680x1050 but then there are those who have 1920x1200 and 2560x1600 displays so it'll be nice to have something for those people as well. I hope these comments/suggestions will help in revising this wall. I like the idea... it just needs further work. :)

I believe if you followed the constellation idea the wall would be much better. The dragon looks plain, it's not blended well and it's blurred. I would also suggest to change the color of the girl's clothes since you changed the theme of the background and it doesn't match with the character. I agree with @sixshot, his comment is very helpful.

I like the other one far better. But the constellations idea sounded very interesting. I wish you had managed to pull it off. What were you stuck on? To me, it looks like you can start placing stars and faint lines to the contour of the dragon. Did you try it and it didn't turn out well?

This is fantastic! I think the background is a prefect backdrop to the original art, but of course I am biased seeing my favorite character. The dragon gives a the wallpaper a majestic look in my opinion. Nice use of the clouds and the shade of blue for the sky is just excellent. Nice Job, hope you continue to make good ones like this.

I love Kanu, and the stary bg is nice, but I am not so sure about the dragon, I think it needs some work... and I would love to have the girl on the right side of the wall cause if a put that wall on my screen she will be covered by my icons on the desktop. Keep up the good work!
