I think the thing that drew me to this wall was how realistic it looks I mean it's not super sharp and clean cut it looks real which is something a lot of walls lack. I love dark and emotional so this is just great and the shops and street signs looks so perfect and faded like if you were standing there looking right at her that's what you would see I just love it. Also the rain is fantastic because it's blowing in all directions not just one and looks so lovely running off of her face and skin. It's a beautiful wall you did a really great job. A+ and a fav .(n_n).

yeh..this wall is realy unique and looks realistic..the girl and stock have created a realy sad atmospher. I wish u had other resolutions as well.

Now, if you see the scan, the perspective is completely different from the perspective of the stock photo you're using. Weirdly, I can't say it looks bad but I do think that using a stock photo that fits more with the character's perspective would look way better. Second thing is that the character doesn't fit with the stock photo. You didn't take the time to fix the quality of the character and it looks too sharp if we compare it to the bg which is too blurry. I do love this scene but I still think that had you taken these into account, your wall would be twice or three times better.

i've been looking at this scan for a long time now. and its about time that someone made a wall out of it. and i thank you for being the one to wall it! its nice and the change of scenery doesnt change the feeling on the character, good job on that! the rain looks great too.

I disagree with storm-and-fire's comment, I think one of the good things about this wall is that, since it's using a stock-photo, it places the focus on the character and not on the background. It's not a mistake to have a blurry background (and I'm surprised storm-and-fire pointed this as a "mistake" considering she does have a wallpaper with a blurry background in her library, the Clannad one), since you can judge the composition of the wallpaper as if it was taken with camera that had the focus/zoom on the closest objects (in this case the character). There are a lot of photos like that, so it's not definetely can't be considered as a mistake. Instead, it was a good thing to do because it helped remove unnecessary details from the original stock-photo which would have elsewise negatively contrasted with the anime-styled girl. The perspective is only slightly off (the horizontal line of the background is slightly too low considering the girl's camera angle), but it's a mistake that is barely noticeable, and could be easily solved by "pushing" her down a little bit.

And yes, this is one of very few cases where a stock-photo is integrated pretty well and contributes to give the right atmosphere. It has the right mood and both stock and scan fit well together. You definetely deserve a favorite for the effort and for having dared to use a stock-photo this well, knowing how much of a gamble it is to properly integrate them in anime wallpapers.

The third chapter ova was by far the saddest and most explicit one so far and was very good this wallpaper brings out the same somber atmosphere that the animation itself did great job :)

Ah it's really sad. You got the mood down perfectly. One thing that bothers me is the rain is going two different directions. I think taking out the left diagonal rain would make it more natural looking.

Nice wall. The dark and rainy background and the lonely atmosphere fit the character's expression well. The rain effect is nicely done. It's similar to that of the original scan and blends with Fujino perfectly as if they are the raindrops on her face. Like others have mentioned, the perspective is different but the overwhelming atmosphere cover that up.

I wholeheartedly like it. The dark atmosphere of this wallpaper gives a hope for the desperate, These raindrops are the rays of her hope. I understood the point of this wallpaper, her loneliness and isolation can be thrown away to the abyss if she finds the hand she is waiting for..
