I was reading the French edition of volume 7 of Lovely Complex the other day and saw this image in the cover:

I really like how the author draws chibi-cutesy versions of Koizumi and Otani. I traced and colored the original art. After that, I wanted to create a simple, cute background, that would tie everything together.

The houses are supposed to look the same, it adds to the simplicity of the background, made to match the simplicity of the original art. Basically, if you guys like complex, high design wallpapers, this isn't it, but I'm sure it will please some people here, that's why I submitted it.

Oh wow! That's so cute!! I love the simplicity of it all. Your vectoring skills are awesome, and it's amazing how you went from that manga scan to this! How cute and creative. Yes, I like their chibi-ness as well. :D I think the little houses are a perfect addition...and the colors are nice and crisp. Everything matches so well, and it's all so clean! You did a great job! *faves*

Love the simplicity xD However, I do believe it will be better if you change some house. Or maybe put only one house with a different style. How should I say it, a bit more complex but keep the simplicity @_@

Ah, forget that. Anyway, I am adding this to my favorite.

Aww... so cute~ x3 I do love the simplicity, and everything is neatly done.

The only problems I really see is: 1* In the original scan, the "outer" lines are much thicker than the inside lines. You really should make the outer lines thicker with any non-shapes layers vector to make it more interesting and add detail. 2* There is more "glare/highlight" on the eyes than you have shown; they kinda resemble zombies. o-O;;

Neither is a big problem, only little things you could tweak if you wish.
