Thanks to brusheezy.com, Hawksmont's Bubble Brushes and Blazter's Cloud Brushes and a few other packs I can't seam to remember. When I find out which ones I used I'll be sure to add proper credit here.

Ok so here comes another of of 'those' wallpapers. It all started a few weeks ago when I decided to learn Separation by Angela on piano. After a while the feelings overwhelmed me and not long after I ended up re-watching the entire series. Not sure of what to do with all the sadness I felt, I used it to fuel myself while I threw this piece together.
P(T_T)
First observation - clouds and flowers? What lunacy made me use such out-of-place brushes? The answer is in the last episode of the animation - when the core wakes up there is a breeze and scent of flowers that spread across the island. Somehow I wanted to incorporate that theme into this wallie, because it's both a visually and mentally beautiful theme. It may or may not fit the general theme of the image at all, but I wanted it no matter what and wouldn't give up on the idea.
Tsubaki's vector turned out rather dark with the layer effects I used, but it fits the scene I believe - considering darkness and loneliness threatened to overcome her when she went back. Alone in the gloomy tank. And speaking of her vector, I don't think I have ever spent so much time on a 'simple' vector. Scaling it up from this pixelated low-resolution original I had at my hands to what it became is a heroic tale of it's own.
.(-_-).
"Anata wa soko ni imasu ka" which is the tag-line of the anime, kind of; had to be used! Question was how I would incorporate text in this wall without messing up. I believe I managed to find a decently non-obtrusive way though, by also including one of Tsubaki's lines from the last episode where she shouts out "Atashi wa koko ni iruyo" - I am (right) here.
I tried to mimic the effects as seen in the anime slightly, thanks to some brushes and weird effects it turned out at least decently. Together with all the other weirdness I threw in that's about it. A cookie for everyone who had the stamina to read all this!

Oh and one thing... guess my favorite color~

Hoho, iI really like the background and the colors you used.
The big eye really is beautiful! And I love the bubbles. But the girl is too dark. I think she doesn't fit well with the scene.
Whatever, good job!

This is actually a pretty cool-looking wallpaper! Even from a mere glimpse of the thumbnail, it immediately grabbed my attention from the glowing effects. Although, when full-viewed, the brushes located at the bottom should be taken out in my opinion; it doesn't support the overall wall with its rather flat-look.
It's difficult to say which is the focal point - the eye and the character are both clearly apparent. Anyway, the design is decent and the text blends well with the background... so nice work! ;D

Zomg its fafner < 3
I would've preferred an alternate color, even though Tsubaki = red. Your vector work's okay, it must have been challenging to manage from a screenshot, however her hair is really choppy and she looks like she's lost parts of her fringe and skull hair: one of the most striking features of a hisashi hirai design, is that the hair, is always smooth and flowing.
But the details on her body should be rewarded for =D and here I congratulate you for picking a GREAT screenshot, its hisashi's drawing :3
You've imitated the anime effects well, something that I've never tried because of its complexity. I don't remember seeing any bubbles in the anime ^^;; but I think its a shame that her eye stole the focus of the wallpaper, even though I know her eye looks very unique. If it's possible to isolate Tsubaki from the bg more with a soft brush at overlay..maybe you should do it.
Also, you should change the font of the text...I suggest Trajan Bricks or Palatino Linotype if you want to go with defaults. The flower fractals on the bottom really ruin your otherwise beautiful background.
Overall, a good work that rouses nostalgia. Thanks again for making a fafner wallpaper.

Oh, she is crying. And, as a Fafner lover here, I have to say that you have caught the sadness scents here. Even if the color make it look a bit girlish, it is Tsubaki. As Tsubaki like a flower, the petals are right and the color too.
Even the vectored screen shot is really well done. And, I have to say, that screen wasn't clear so... too much effort you put in there.
A favorite, of course.

This one is very unique. The eye in the cetre part attracts our attention.
It's beautifully painted.
I especially love the colour. I think this might be a special shade of red. It's a mixture of red, blue and yellow, perhapes, a little bit.
The shadow is also very nice.
I like the feel of this wall very much.
Thanks for sharing!

Wow at first glance I didn't realize this was an eye! Its so mythical looking. I love the colors, they add to the mysteriousness of the paper. And I love the way you put the character over top of the rest. Sorry I haven't seen this anime so I don't know who the character is. Either way, its fantastic! The bubbles are the perfect addition as well. Great job!
