Oh, wow, this wallpaper is win!! I love it all so very much. I'm sure you'll do wonderfully in the contest, though I prefer the red/grayscale version better than just the grayscale one. I think it adds a lot, especially with the red in Kira's eyes. I love how you showed both sides of Light...the one in back is so innocent-looking, compared to what he's become as Kira. Nice use of text as well--it's all very balanced. The cityscape also looks great! Wow, I'm in awe. :D You did fantastically!! Beautiful vectoring. *faves*

the first time i looked at this i thought its from asa :P the text usage is similiar .. its good =) i like the colored version better too, but what i really like is the concept cuz i know the rules of the competition its even better :P but i have to write small cuz i dont wanna explain the rules! :D gj i hope greyscale team will win xD

I agree with Angel-Zakuro that the red-gray edition is better,for red can remind me of blood,which quitely suits the theme of this anima series,and the contrast on expressions of Light in two different situation is reli a good idea,long been away from a DN wall,+fav!

Grey shadow is very heavy. It is strong weight of two gentlemen's destiny.

Ah yes I knew this was a Deto wall right when I first saw it, completely unique completely classy and already a B+ no doubt about it this is a fantastic wall. The colors are dark and passionate (love the red) and the transition between his sweet innocent side and morphing into his evil dark side the purity lost in his eyes filled now with only the bitter redness of blood and tears. A beautiful display of life lost to greed and self hypnosis. A+ and a fav P(T_T)

Awesome wall! First of all, nice vectoring! The grays look beautiful and fits Death Note really well, and the red blends in beautifully. I just love the entire composition of this wall...everything - from the hazy sun, the placement of the red hues, the red in Light's eyes, the word choice, and even the color of the words - highlights the different Light's perfectly! Great job!

Anyway, I'm thrown off at the theme of your submission because I wrote down this exact kinda theme down long ago after watching the last episode of Death Note... the whole old dying Light passing the younger youthful Light as he's running on the streets etc... yeah, anyway, great work on the vectorwork and I appreciate your decision to only make the dying Light's eyes red while keeping the youthful Light all monotone. If you ask me, this wall fits perfectly with the tone of your website! Nice work~

The writing and the showing of Light in the beginning of the anime and then what Light looks like in the end was just giving me this really cool feeling. Definitely going into my favorites, no doubt about it.

The best Death Note wallpaper ever seen!!!!! Poetic and tragic, the contrast of the words and Lights... beggining and end... i love how you design it, so we can get the message and feel that everything is in its place. I like the colors, grayscale and red, you know, red is Kira's color, you cannot leave it out XD The vectors are incredible too, especially the right one... =D More than a wallpaper, this is really a masterpiece, everything is beatifully connected and designed, great work man, congratulations and thanks for the magnificent artwork!!!! =)

Excellent wallpaper. I'm never satisfied with my desktop backgrounds, so i'm constantly searching to switch it around; this one will remain on my desktop for a good long time. I love the grayscale, though the original adds a bit more emotion, imo. Great work, I can't get over it.

This is an awesome wall. I love the contrasts between the two Lights - the one in the back looks so nice and innocent, and the one in the front (is that blood?! - DUH) looks very Kira-like, or should I say, killer-like? I prefer the red/grayscale one, it makes Light look a lot scarier in his vampire pose.

Wow, this is great. I'm in awe of your abilities and taste. This looks so dynamic and stylish, with just enough colour and text. All the elements in your composition fit perfectly together.

The red and grey version works much better for me, but for a colourless one the grey one's not too bad. I admit I like a bit of colour in my wallpapers, so my opinion may not be the most correct one.

Anyway, I'm not sure if you're still around and reading your comments, but I really liked this and I'm glad you shared it. Cheers!
