I only have the first tome but it's great. The anime was equally good I say. Both of them made many of my days. I am still waiting for the rest of the manga to come out where I live though.

Try AIR from Key. It's adapted from a game like Shuffle. The story is good but gets sad in the end. It has only 12 episodes but I got totally hooked while watching it.

But I still love this anime very much. I think it's deffinitely time to start buying the manga though ^^

Well i just finished watching the 24 episode tv series and i have to say it's one of my new favourite Animes. But that aside, seeing as (as so frequently happens) the story was no where near concluded properly, i was wondering if anyone here has seen the "Ultimate Fight" OAV? And if it offers any sort of satisfactory conclusion to all the events...personally i'm doubting it really can in 2 episodes but meh, i can hope ^^ i'd really like to see where the whole love triangle ends up ^^;

Also if the manga does go far beyond the anime in terms of detail and closure, a pointer where to start reading the manga from would be much appreciated too :)

I watched the anime too, and I was rather disappointed. Why do I say that? Well, I've read the manga, and I'm still reading since it's not done. And when watching the anime, I got the impression that it was merely an excuse for fan services and fights (just my opinion thought), maybe especially because the storyboard is much simpler than the complex one in the manga. In the anime, many elements of the story have been removed and the main plot is merely about Mitsuomi being the big bad guy with little of an explanation in the end abouth his motives. I do not say That the anime sucks, just that when you have read the manga, the anime leaves a taste of unfinished business, because I got totally hooked to the manga.

About your question about the pointer, I can' say for certains in the end of the anime because the story was modified (Soichiro only got to fight Mitsuomi once so far in the manga), but I think that the story would end in about the tome 7 or 8. And where I live, I've got the tome 13 and the story is far from over, the main plot has just been revealed. However, let me just tell you that the manga is much darker and much more violent that the anime.

Animes that help feel good... My first choice would be FMP Fumoffu?. It's very different from the first serie which casted mainly the AS fights and the seemingly everending fight between Sosouke and Gauron. FMP Fumoffu? made me feel well, maybebecause it gives a break to Sosouke's character who was nearly traumatized in the first serie, so it's kind of, let's say warming to see him live away of war and killing for a change. But I think you need to see the first season to fully feel that. Azumanga Daioh is cool too. It's composed mainly of short scenes, and the fact that there is no big main plot may be the reason why it is so delightful, because we see daily scenes that could happen to anyone, but treated with a comical tone. Even when the scene begins to turn into drama, a comical event pops out of nowhere to restore the good mood. Steel angel kurumi is good too. Of course the main plot includes some sad scenes, but the general mood is settled in the relationship between Kurumi and Nasahiko, and It is warming to see them together.

I don't think ethic and moral have anything to do with it. Love is after all fickle, means you won't choose who you'll be in love with. However, the question of the status remains. No matter how you look at it, a relation between a teacher and one of his/her student would mean trouble for both of them. If not with their families and colleagues, it will be in their work. A teacher, no matter how hard he or she tries, will not be able to act with the student she/he has a relation with the same as with the other students. So I think the teacher/student status must be kept as long as they work/study at the same place. However, I don't think it would be a problem if they met outside of the school background. That's my opinion.

you guys are lucky! I live in French Polynesia and because of the taxes, a manga usually cost around 2000 francs, which make aproximatively around 20 dollars, reason why I hardly buy mangas where I live.

What? like our friendship etc. I already did it once so I guess nothing much is going to change plus this time it is her who started it. I dont know it is probally it not anything, I mean I alway feel left out by all my Thai friends (her being one of them) here in England as if they dont want me there which prob isn't true but I just feel like that.

I was wondering about you being japanese because in Japan on Valentine day, girls give hand-made chocolate to the guys they like and buy chocolate to thank someone. With the little information I have, it's kind of difficult to figure it out (not that it would be easy even with all the backup).
