I like the background, but the plants in the foreground don't really complement the background. Otherwise, it's very pretty :)

You should go!! :) I know it's kind of daunting b/c every time someone mentions convention, there is the thought of hundreds of hardcore fans, but seriously... it's really fun! :) I remember my first time, and I was kind of unsure of everything, but it was a great experience. The shopping's not so bad either. And the cosplaying was cool. So yeah, you should definitely go. It's definitely a good experience. :)

I DEFINITELY CANT WAIT!!!! yay!! I'm really excited about the Masquerade ball!!! I'm still thinking of whether I should wear a mask though... Does anyone know about the masquerade ball??? Is anyone going to follow that dress theme of "black and white"? Is anyone going to wear a mask??? Is anyone going???

I've been trying to figure that out for a while now. Especially since some of the cartoons I watched when I was young were actually Japanese cartoons. But since anime is essentially Japanese cartoons, I guess I started watching when I was about 3 or 4. I stopped watching it for a while, and then I got back into it when Sailor Moon was still on UPN. So I guess I've been been influenced by anime for around 15-18 years (excluding the years of non-anime influence).

j/k! :) I probably would too...now that you mentioned this possibility. Dang... I never really thought about it. I guess I would just...you know...have to TORTURE AND KILL THAT PERSON !!!! MUAHAHAHaHaHaHA!!! (evil laughter ensues).

Again...I'm kidding. But seriously, I would probably break something of his/hers. Something really valuable. But that would be my vengeful side. I would also probably start crying and huddle in a corner. But really, if someone did do that, I would probably break something of theirs; because if you think about it, anime and manga really add up financially. For example, a manga costs around $10-11, right? A dvd costs around $20-25. Now if you're a collector....that adds up. I have a collection of love hina manga. That's about 14 books. And that's just ONE anime. So yeah, if someone did do that...I'd be pretty pissed off and upset. I'd probably break something of theirs........then hide in a corner and cry. ^_^

BUT if it's an accident....well then, ****happens. I would probably just ask for partial payment. ;)

As for the people that act Japanese....I guess if someone goes so far as to start speaking Japanese and say that they ARE Japanese (I mean born and bred) even though they ARENT.... that would be kind of creepy. But even though....I'm not bothered by it. It's just the way it is I guess. :)

What really bugs me are those people that make fun of fans of anything in general (I'm not talking about the person that created this discussion). I'm talking about the people that actually go so far as to ridicule a fan in his/her face (u know.. those people that don't know anything about it and yet still make fun of them b/c they think it's different). I've been around a few of those people in my life and they really REALLY bother me. Why would you make fun of someone else when u yourself are a fan of something?? It's kind of hypocritical, right? I agree. It's kind of a waste to delete an anime collection. I myself am not a collector of anime. I collect manga, which I value as much as anime. I have gotten a few titles, and I can't imagine deleting them. It would definitely be such a waste of time and energy. Why would someone delete something that he/she was searching for? And why would anyone delete it--especially when they've spent hours trying to d/l it?!?! To me, those hours seem like money. It takes such a long time to get, and then once youve gotten it, you watch it and then delete it?! Think about it. You spend an hour trying to get it, then you watch it for 20 minutes, and then you delete it in seconds. It's a waste if you delete it... I think.

Okay... let me add.... I do like some of them... but still. It's kind of frustrating when there are so many of them.

YES YES YES!!!!!! THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY Harem animes... I don't even bother to watch em just b/c the guy is probably a nice, innocent guy who is for some reason living with five or more girls (for some reason... it's always five or six or who knows) and ALL- i mean ALL-the girls (even the five-year-old girl with the teddy bear undies) have an attraction to him. It's so ridiculous. Okay, so maybe a few aren't so bad, but seriously....there are so many nowadays. I just can't believe it. ARGH!! When will there be harem anime with LOTS OF GUYS and one girl!?!??! I would sooooo love that.. At least there'd be a lot of eye candy!! ^_^

True...maybe it's a guy's fantasy.. (or every guy's fantasy)... but c'mon!! Guys aren't the only ones watching anime. Think of the girls!!!! I want lots of men damnit!!! ^_^

SUBS!!!! DUH!!!!! But then again... it really depends on what u listen to first. For me, one of my first anime (FY) was dubbed. I still remembered their voices. Now that I listen to it, it sounds really wierd, but I still remember looking for the videos with the subtitles marked dubbed. I even remember buying a subtitlted video for FY and I FREAKED thinking "what a waste of money"!!! Anyway, I'm a total sub person now... It's just habit. I can't watch a dub anymore... I just keep looking at the bottom of the freakin screen looking for the subtitles. But dubs are good too. I admit there are a handful of really awful, DETESTABLE dubs out there, but there are also a handful of really great ones. :)

Interesting silhouette. In a way it looks like you've left something out and the wallpaper seems empty in that spot, but then again you have a variety of images scattered around the silhouette. Overall, it all fits together. Nice work. I'm faving it!! :)

I love the country western theme that this wallpaper conveys. I love sakura's outfit! Very kawaii!!! The background is nice too. I like the fact that you chose to put her at sunset. It's very beautiful, especially the shadowing. It makes the image look very realistic. Overall...good work! :) Definitely a fav for me!!! :D

When I first looked at the background, I wasn't a big fan of it... But the colors somehow won me over. I mean, I'm not crazy-obsessed with purple, but I think that the way you handled the colors make this wallpaper work. It's almost monochromatic (if not for the hint of blue hues in her skirt), but it's beautiful. It works well with the background. And speaking of the backround.... I love how it draws you in. Good work! :)
