Match 23: Water Elemental!
This sounds like fun. Count me in. +^_^+
Light and Dark
Quite prolific with the walling these days! Again, yet another great wall. The painting is nicely done and the flames blend well. The only suggestion I have is that the blackness in the background seems anti-climatic...I'm not sure what to suggest, but it's seems somewhat empty/plain compared to the beautiful action going on in the front.
However, overall the wall is quite good. Keep up the great work!
Bubblebeam
What can I say? Yet another wonderful wall. The drawings/line inkings are great, clean and crisp. The colors are well blended and smooth throughout the wall. You bubbles and the bubble effect they have going on is also superb. A very nice and soothing wall. Keep up the great work.
Thunderspark
My mistake. Still, great paint job with your tablet. Keep up the great work.
Thunderspark
Another great wall! Although, I like this one better than your Squirtle wall. Great vectoring; everything looks clean and sharp. Great coloring. You did a nice job blending all the electric sparks and effects into this wall as well. This is definitely one of my favorites from you. Keep up the great walling. I look forward to seeing more from you in the future. +^_^+
Summer Splash
Cute wall. The vector is clean and the background is nicely done. It certainly is a refreshing wall (haha punny). Anyway, nice work, I'd love to see more from you in the future. +^_^+
Match 15 - Fire Elemental
I'd like to join, and give it a go!
...to Transcend the Stars...
Thanks. Thanks again for the inspiration to do this wall! +^_^+
Madara VS Hashirama
I also agree with Yaten about the aspect ratio...it is definitely skewed way too much on the horizontal. However, I like your line-art and coloring job. The lines look clear and smooth and the overall colored is well blended and neat looking. If you can go back and fix the ratio so that the dimensions are appropriate to the original scan, this wall will be an outstanding one.
Good luck! I look forward to seeing a revised version of this wall. +^_^+
One Man Army
Overall I like this concept, the vector is clean and the wall is simple, yet stylish. I think the vector is clean, the lines and coloring look nice. I am not too sure about the objects in the background, I am not sure if they are necessary in this type of wall. I also like the black and white effect you have going on, but I think I would have also colored Naruto's eyes in for an added effect. Since his blue eyes often stand out as very determined and intense. I also think adding the blurred effect to his clones in the distance was a very nice touch.
Overall, I think this wall is nicely done. It's simple and stylish, but it's obvious you put time into this wall so that it's not really simple, but certainly gives that effect. Keep up the good work.
Jiraiya: I will find the Answer
Very nice wall! I don't see too many Jiraiya walls, so props to you. I like the vector--it's clean and crisp. Nice job on the vector work. I think the expression Jiraiya has is classic, and this pose/expression/scan was a very good choice to make such a playful, yet determined wall. I really love the textures you used to create the parchment paper. It was also a nice touch to overlay that said texture on Jiraiya as it makes him one with the parchment and wall itself. I also like how you blended the kanji into the ink/ink spray as it spreads across the parchment paper. Overall, I think the design is simple but nicely executed. The wall is vibrant (even with muted colors), playful, and simultaneously, expressed a profound determination and sadness. I think this wall really speaks to Jiraiya's character and you did a nice job capturing such a fell. Please, keep up the good work. +^_^+
Temari
Very nice wall1! I am actually working on a wall using the same screenshot, how crazy. Though mine was in color and so, looking at your wall, I think your vector is very clean and nicely done in B&W. The lines and gradients of grey are also nicely executed. I also find it interesting that you chose to only "outline" certain parts of the vector instead of the whole thing, I think this touch adds a nice look to the wall (whereas my vector is completely outlined). Your way makes the vector subtle but still stand out as very clean and crisp. Also, props for creating a Temari scan, she is such an awesome kunoichi and is often under-represented lol.
I think the bg is bit simple, but that is not necessarily bad, but since it's all B&W I think adding a slight/subtle texture to the bg would help differentiate Temari from the bg, and make her stand out more as separate from the bg, but not in a disjointed way.
Overall, great work! Keep it up.
Please Bring Him Back
Excellent improvement! I enjoy this one much more than your original wall. Keep up the great work! +^_^+
Please Bring Him Back
For a first wall, this attempt isn't bad...it is much better than some of my first few attempts. Let's start with the positives of this wall-->the vector. For a first time, this is not a bad vector at all. Most of the lines look clear and not too jagged (minus the line/curve on Sakura's right kneecap), and the shadows and colors look nice. Good job with a solid vector. As for the areas that need improvement, I would agree with the comments that address the background, as right now there is nothing special or fancy going on. I like the concept of her sitting outside against a large mooned-sky. Try googling tutorials on how to photoshop moons (or whatever program you use), and then google tutorials on how to create a starry night sky. Also, since Sakura is kneeling, you will have to make/address some sort of ground for her to be sitting on so she doesn't appear to be floating in air! Also, I would maybe change up the font you used, but this is more stylistic and the decision can be made after you have re-done the background. You may also want to reconsider the text placement as part of the text will most likely be covered up by the desktop banner at the bottom of most computers/laptops/operating systems.
Good luck, I look forward to viewing your revisions! +^_^+
A determined look
This wall is fabulous! I think you did a phenomenal job with the vectoring and especially with the shadow work. I liked that chose to leave out one of the barbed wires, which would have covered up Naruto's face. Leaving that barbed wire out allows Naruto's face to shine through with his intense look clearly and really makes his face/expression stand out that much more! Adding the Kyuubi was also a very nice touch, and again, as with Naruto, the Kyuubi is nicely drawn/vectored. Adding the fur texture is a very nice touch. Overall, I think the colors and intense expression of both the Kyuubi and Naruto really make this an excellent wall.
Though I like the phrase you used, I might change up the text and give it a more rugged/grunge/or sinister feel...to go along with the intense stares. Also, I would consider changing the placement of the text perhaps more toward the bottom left in the blackish area.
Keep up the great work! +^_^+
Halloween
As always, your wall is very nice. You did a fabulous job vectoring, adding shadows, and gradients to make your vector come alive (I am working on this technique, and hope to one day become as good as you). I love the color scheme you chose and it is quite fitting for a Halloween theme. I love the way you created the jack o lanterns, and the placement of them coupled with the background of a bat and star filled orange sky against a shadowed town is wonderful.
Keep up the really awesome work. +^_^+

Userpage Comments for Bantam
Thank you so much on your comment on my Roy Mustang wallpaper. I made a revision (which included a re-vector with more gradients--I hope, and a fixed up bg). If you have time, please take a look:http://www.animepaper.net/art/214071
Naruto
Nice job,
Overall I think the vector of Naruto is pretty clean. I've only done about five or so vectors myself, but it looks pretty good. I like the shadowing you used. Also, the overall coloring seems pretty clean. Some of the lines around Naruto's right hand are jagged and I think could be touched up. I like the deep blue sky and clouds, but I;m not necessarily a fan of the lens flare. It seems a bit out of place. Maybe you could try creating a bright sun with a lens flare instead.
Overall, for a second vector, I think you are doing pretty well. Keep up the good work.
We Can Only Be Friends.
Very nice vectoring work and I like the overall concept. The balloons have a very cool 3D effect, but eventhough your characters have shadows, they seem a bit more 2D compared to the balloons, and so, there is a disconnect between the elements of the wall. I would rally like to see more of a developed bg, maybe make stronger textures, or go for something scenic. Right now, even with the textured and colored bg, it's too plain for your awesome vectoring work! :)
I think this wall would pop more if you worked on developing the bg element. Still, a very nice start and again, great vectoring. Keep up the good work!
killing perfection
Overall, it's a very nice vector. I think you made a good choice to not use black outlines, especially when working on such a close up of Sesshomaru's face. I think his pupils look a bit strange, shape-wise, the curves seem a bit choppy/uneven, though I haven't seen the original scan..I would expect his pupils to have cleaner/smoother curves. I think the gradients in his eyes are fine and look pretty good. The blood on his face seems slightly out of place, almost as if randomly stuck on...so the question is, whose blood is it? If it's meant to be an enemy's then it's alright, but if it's supposed to be a wound on his face, there needs to be some sort of nick or cut drawn, right now the blood looks just thrown on top of his cheek.
I do like the idea of the words, but Sesshomaru, I would use a more edgy, brutal, barbaric (perhaps) looking font...or you could go the complete opposite way and go with a very refined, elaborate, grandiose font to match his narcissism. Either way, right now the font is very plain, too plain for Sesshomaru's personality. Also, I would experiment with font placement as right now it seems just...there, so to speak.
Overall though, awesome work, please keep it up!
