Feline guardian Blue (background) made friends with Captain Asuka Langley Shikinami.

Posing for photographs is no problem for Blue.

Blue and Captain of the Royal Guard Elina Vance share color-pattern likenesses.

You are entirely welcome, phoenolf! I decided to make up an award just for fun; and you were the first person to welcome me to this Web site. First contact is important!

This is a good vector, although it's not a scene from one of my favorite episodes. Commendably, you didn't ruin it via extraneous writing; and for that you deserve congratulations.
Thank you for not plastering ugly and unnecessary writing on this vector. It looks great!
This is an excellent wallpaper! That's all there is to it: It's excellent.
This vector radiates Etna love and is woefully underrated. I like it, so ... there!
What's this "D+" malarkey all about? Whomever rated this image as "D+" needs to browse the gallery now and then, or perhaps screen "El-Hazard: The Magnificent World" as a refresher. "D+"? You've got to be joking.
Thank you, phoenolf!

When it comes to characters in manga I gravitate toward females who are athletic, intelligent and largely misunderstood or under-appreciated. For example, I'm quite the fan of Captain of the Royal Guard Elina Vance in Iku Nanazuki's "Queen's Blade: Hide & Seek" serialized in Monthly Comp Ace (Tokyo: Kadokawa Shoten Publishing Co. Ltd., 2007). Here's Elina, on the right, with her elder sister Reina:
I find it unfortunate that Elina is cast in a rather negative role, but I understand where she's coming from and make allowances. She was appointed Captain of the Royal Guard at a very young age and thus had to adopt an attitude commensurate with her position as a commanding officer; plus, she's the youngest of three sisters and has to fight against familial bottom-of-the-totem-pole status. She's compensated for these realities by employing guile in the achievement of her goals, a technique most young people haven't yet learned due to lack of experience. In short, Elina's got lots of savvy and smarts.
Anyway, she's the type of character I like. So ... there! Plus, I like cats and sausages.
