Walls like this make one wonder if the one giving the ratings is some red-blooded dude who gives immediate approval to anything with lots of boobs in it.

I'm sorry, but there is no work in this wall. This is Kindergarten-level Photoshop, I doubt it would take more than 30 minutes total to produce something like this. The scan is amazing, but it has no work and the lens flare makes it look blurry and LQ in contrast with the very realistic clouds. Also, the color doesn't seem appropriate at all. Making it all sunset-like orange gives it a sense of melancholy that doesn't fit the tone of the image -fun, sexy, carefree-, I think keeping the original color palette would've been a much better idea.

But seriously, the difference between this and the original scan is zero, I see no point in making a wallpaper that will look exactly the same as the original if it doesn't at least improve the image quality -which this doesn't

Again, I apologize, I know this is a pretty old wall, but it ticks my nerves that it gets a SS-rating while other walls with a lot more effort and a lot more ambition put into them (including some of your own) get lower rates. I'll never understand this rating system

Basically what the previous poster said. The characters are flat, lack any sort of shade, light or anything, just plain colors. They don't even have detailed eyes, just flatness. It doesn't seem like you spent more than 2 hours doing this. The background looks effortless, and not in a good way. It's like a lazy, quick way out for when you weren't sure of what to do with it. For starters, I'd suggest going for reds and yellows, closer to Shonen Jump's colors

On another note, Natsu (Fairy Tail) doesn't belong to the Shonen Jump group, since the manga is published in a different magazine, the Weekly Shonen Magazine by Kodansha, whereas the Weekly Shonen Jump belongs to Shueisha. In short, Natsu doesn't belong to the JUMP family, so I'd suggest changing him for someone else (Kuroko, Toriko, Rin Okumura, Medaka, or someone like that)

Unfortunately, even if the scan is pretty recent, it's already been used to death, so coming up with something special for it is hard, and I get it. However, if you're going to do it, you should at least make sure the quality is OK, and in this one it looks pretty poor. It looks blurry and LQ and the coloring doesn't help, it looks paint-buckety. I think you should've vectored the scan. I also think, though this is more of a personal opinion, that the orange on his hair isn't looking that great on the gray background. Maybe if the BG were plain like the hair, it wouldn't stand out so awkwardly. The orange-red stripe isn't looking that great either, for the same reason, and because the scan has a smokey-airy feel, a sharp straight line doesn't seem to fit in such context.

I like the wrinkled paper effect and the 3D-ness you've got going on, but the background isn't working with this sort of effect. I think it would be much better if the background were either plain, or you had some sort of scattered paper in the back, or manga strips, like someone else suggested, to really make it look like the picture is a cut out. Maybe even add a pair of scissors to make it more realistic

The colors are beautiful, they make the scene come to life, great work! The wallpaper looks so intense and emotional, I love it! I just wish you had a WS resolution, I'd love to use it as my desktop

The color palette is nice and soft and the scenery you chose matches the scan but at the same time, the vector is so sharp and clean that it stands out too much against the blurry background and they don't blend together the way they should. Also, and this is just my personal point of view, I think the fact that Ulquiorra is so BIG in this wallpaper doesn't really work out in the best way, and it would look better if he didn't take up the whole screen, since this looks more like a screenshot rather than a wallpaper with him being all over the place

The concept is nice and the image you chose is cool, there aren't many wallpapers with Ichigo in the Hell transformation, but I would advise you to vector the original scan since the quality is not optimal and the low quality of the image downplays the good looks of the wallpaper. I can see some maple leaves brushes in the back and I don't understand what they are doing there, I suppose you where trying to add extra decorations but they seem random and are unnecessary, I'd get rid of them and instead try to exploit the "chain" theme since it's more appealing and matches with the image. Overall I think it's good looking but would greatly improve if you vectored your scan.

Gorgeous! I love the colors, the concept and the scene you chose. It has a beautiful warm feeling, as if the sun was shining on it. The shine on Ichigo's eyes is wonderful and you selected a great panel in which he looks so handsome and the emotions on his face are so beautifully drawn. Loving this, + fav. Edit: I forgot to mention that the edges on his hair are a bit raggy, try to be more careful when you cut the bg out. Other than that it's incredibly lovely

I'm sorry, but being fairly familiar with the original scan it's hard for me to tell what you actually did to the scan to make it wallpaper-worthy. All I see is some blurriness and the black bar at the bottom that is doing you no good because it cuts off Ichigo's chin. The text in the first revision looks cool but I'd say you need to do more than add some text and blur to make a wallpaper

The color palette is very soft and beautiful and though the thumbs looks a little bit blurry once I downloaded the wallpaper I could see how incredibly sharp the image is, I really love it, especially the painting on the clouds, it all looks very pretty and ethereal. I was looking for something new for my desktop and I'm definitely going to use this one

The style is very interesting, but it looks a bit blurry and LQ, it should be a lot sharper, both Ichigo's silhouette and the blood splatter. Ichigo's shape looks like a badly cut render, I don't know if you vectored the silhouette or you did it some other way, but you should be more careful with the edges, they look wacky. I also don't understand why put Rukia's and everyone else's name under Aizen's, is it supposed to be a "To be killed" list? If so, it doesn't make sense. Otherwise, they just seem like randomly placed there and throw the wallpaper off balance, I'd take them out. I think the concept is really cool and if you fixed some minor details it could be really awesome

Lol, I just watched the first OVA today and didn't get half of it but the art style is amazing. I love the style on this wall, it feels so powerful and yet it has a classy and antique feel to it. Shame there's no Widescreen version, I'd totally use it for my desktop.

The composition is lovely, the color palette is very cute and I love the brushes, it's a shame that the main picture is so fuzzy, and that there are no bigger sizes, otherwise it'd go straight to my desktop

I feel like the elements don't integrate with each other. It's like Tenshi is one thing, the piano is another, the wave is another thing, the trees are just there, and the backgrouns is completely separate. And they don't integrate into one single piece. They feel too much like they're random things pasted together.

Tenshi jumps out from the background too much, she should blend in a bit more. The piano looks awfully drawn, I'd redraw it completely or get rid of it, because it doesn't look good at all (low quality, blurry, etc). The blue background is too bright, it almost hurts the eye. I'd suggest a softer color, and not such a plain BG, maybe some texture, or gradient, or adding more trees; something to make it look less empty because just the petals aren't cutting it.

I would get rid of the text. Since I first saw this wall in Session Zero I wanted the text to disappear, and every revision of this that I saw, I couldn't see the text match into the wall. The font is too raw to the "gentle" vision you're trying to create. For this case, I think a bigger text, with much less opacity and maybe a white color disappearing into the background would fit much better. But I still believe that the text should go.

The black line at the bottom? I'm supposing it's meant to be the floor, but it doesn't look good at all. Kill it, take it out.

The trees look too artificial and not sharp enough. Particularly the one in the top. This should be more believable, they looke like branches with random blot and flower brushes on it. Not good. Maybe you could vector some trees or something like that. It'll take time, but the result will be worth it.

It's not bad, but it needs a lot of work. I'd say you should've kept working on it before submitting. You've got a nice idea, but I'd suggest you gave it a hella lot more work, I'm sure you'd be so proud of the result.

The title is lovely, and the shading is greatly executed, particularly on the eye, that is a great achievement. Unfortunately, as it has been pointed out, it seems you used strok for the outline, and it looks too sharp and blunt, it kinda ruins the rest of the wallpaper, which is a shame. I'm not too fond of the blurry shadow in the background, there's something about it that bothers me. Maybe it would've looked better if you added Starrk's shadow there. The mouth seems to be too low, but I don't know, I don't have the original shot to compare, it just looks kinda weird. I like the colors, they all match to the concept, but I would suggest you used shape layers for the outline, it always looks much better and prettier. Stroke outline looks blunt, too sharp and edgy.

I loved the scan, I actually plan on vectoring it when I finish a Szayel vector I'm working on, and you did good on most of the vectoring, but Renji's and Grimmjow's faces look too rushed, especially compared to Ulquiorra's or Byakuya's, and the general colors are too striking compared to the original scan, so it looks really plastic. The redrawing is very neat though, I have to congratulate you for that, too bad you didn't keep the pattern on Ichigo's jacket, I thought it was cute. On a personal note, maybe a not-so-bold font would've fit better, not a curly one, but maybe something more akin to Valentine's, but that might be just my opinion.

Your kana's right, the ru(ル) and the ri (リ) are slightly similar, the guy who said otherwise got confused. And I like the wall, though I think the kana weren't really necessary, and the butterfly looks a bit unnatural, more like a brush rather than a butterfly standing on her feet. Nice colors, and I like Suzumebachi, good job. The face looks a bit odd, but no one's gonna die for that. And the background looks pretty cool

As oustanding the vectoring may be (which it is), the background stripes and that horribly simple font, with that meaningless text (the character name just doesn't do the trick for wallpaper texts) screws your great vector.

The suggestion I'd give you is to change the text. Maybe use some Barragan-centered title from the manga, like "Tyrant of Skulls" or "Spit on your own god". Even "Great Skull Emperor" or "Arrogant" would be better. And use a... grunge sort of font. Or maybe a gothic one. Maybe trying to blend the text with the BG would be good too.

I'm also not fond of the stripes, they don't seem to fit in there. Maybe the grunge alone, or a combination of grunge textures would look better.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the mods have become softies. A while ago, this wouldn't have been accepted, I'm almost sure. It's not bad, it's just too overcrowded, yet, too simple. The image quality is pretty good, I must point out, but this looks like a bunch of filters with a not-so-fitting font, and a bunch of images all stumbled one atop the other, that, even if they're in a particular order, they look messy and random. The orange color for the bottom pics doesn't seem to be the right one in my opinion, and to dispose of the picture in such a conventional way makes it look somewhat boring.

I'm wordless. I mean... it's simply beautiful. It's poweful, I love the effect, how you mix lights and shadows. I could've done without the Gillians, but it isn't any less awesome with them there. I'd like to say more, [s]to get more papers and such[/s] and to express just how wonderful, amazing and astonishing this is, but I find myself speechless, I have no words to describe how impressive this is. +fav.

The overall quality is really low, and that's a bad thing to begin with. Now, I don't know if it's my screen, but rather than B/W it looks like Brown/White, and a particularly ugly and unmatching brown. It's way too simple, I see no concept here. Maybe it's just me, but this scan has been used way too many times for that same concept, so this is no novelty. You should try with textures and adding some text, maybe brushes? change de positions, do something so that this doesn't look like that old Black Stones scan that we've seen over a million times in a thousand different walls and looking all the same in all of them.
