Yeah, I was kinda afraid of that, but then how could people get by with just a vector? Example: Cowboy Bebop Wallpaper
Now, I'm not putting down that wallpaper or anything, I'm just wondering how a simple vector could pass.

Wow, how can you do that? First accepted wallpaper, and you look like you're well on your way. I don't know how you can get a design like this out of your head. I would never have even thought of anything remotely this creative. Guess I'm no artist, but good job. Pink and light blue aren't my colors, but for this wallpaper they worked great. Good luck in your future wallpapers.
So simple, yet so good. I wish I could get ideas like this. I'm not sure it really needs a background. Since it's in black and white, I think the empty background just adds to the effect.
Great wallpaper, and it sure looks like you have great ideas. Keep 'em comin'.
Hey, I like this wallpaper. The division of the two sides is a cool concept, and the way you portray it is very nice. The cloaked character is a little too different than the others. It's like his black cloak isn't a vivid enough hue of black or something. Besides that, it's good. Nice job!
K, this is by no means a final copy, but this is it for tonight. I tried to fix Spike's lines without having to revector them all, but nothing worked. It won't matter anyway since I'm not using him at that high of a quality. I plan on adding some sort of grunge effect to Spike ( ideas on how would be nice), Maybe making the wallpaper a higher quality, and somehow vector the logo without getting rid of its grungy look. imPanda, thanks for the background idea. I think it works well. Thanks again, everyone.
It wouldn't be Kingdom Hearts if they just took out the Disney. Besides, I don't think Disney would appreciate that either. Anyway, the trailer was definately not what anybody expected. It's hard to see any of the current characters in a full suit of armor. Plus it doesn't look like it could match any Disney characters. I do like the prequel idea though. It's really the only thing that makes sense...unless it's WAY into the future...
Wow...I mean wow...how do you vector like that? that is amazing. It's simply beautiful. I don't understand why the floral pattern thing weaving through works so well (and I really wish I knew why it works so well), but the whole thing is simply amazing. An easy fav. Thank you and keep it up.
No problem. You've got some great wallpapers, and that's one of them. Keep up the great work.
Hmm, I never noticed, but you're right. Girls in my area play it more as a casual party game, never really getting beyond standard often, and there are fewer guys that usually get to at least some of the heavy songs. I think it has to do with the competitiveness of guys. I know that when I found out about DDR a few years ago, I would get so mad at my horrible skills, but I would keep playing because I couldn't stop till I won. Now I am bored with anything that is below heavy. But on the other hand, there are a lot of girls in my area that are really into DDR enough that they can do heavy on almost any song. In the end, I'll say the reasons are guys usually have more stamina, can often be very competitive, and take an interest in stomping around like a caveman (hey, I do it too). Oh, and if it means anything, every girl that I know that plays DDR is also obsessed with anime. Maybe there's a connection ;)
Oh, wow, I love this concept! The coffee stains, the lipstick, everything makes this idea so cool. Awesome job. To stay with the postcard look, I might have made the background more realistic, like staighter edges, but even so, this is awesome. Just for the concept alone, this is gonna go as a fav. Great idea and wallpaper.
Thank you for the DNAngel wallpaper. I just finished watching the series, so this is kinda cool. So, wallpaper... The background colors are crazy, but it works pretty well. The feathers are a little odd since some are oddly focused while others are blured a lot. I think you were trying to make it look like it was focused at a certain distance, but I still think all the feathers should be blurred. Anyway, cool wallpaper with a trippy background :)
It's an amazing wallpaper. Wow, only a day, takes me a week to get a full concept, and that's if I don't have to vector the image. Anyway, It's not exactly my cup of tea, but the idea behind it is cool to say the least. I like the text jacket even as wierd as the concept may seem. I think it's the overly-simple colors used that takes away from me liking it, but that's just a personal preference. Very nice job.....only a day....
I know it's already been said in almost every post in this thread, but there is nothing wrong with girls playing videogames. In fact, it's about the coolest thing every time I see it. I went to a small LAN party a few days ago and about 15-20% of the people there were girls. That may not be half, but it's still a good percentage. I think that percentage will keep going up, though...I hope :)
Even in this version, the background is still too different then the characters and the hills. The characters and hills look like pastel creations with sharp edges, but the sky doesn't have those sharp edges and has more of an anime feel.
Well, I probably won't be able to get any of this stuff for a while since I'll still be a poor college student, but I guess I'd start with the PS3 with Kingdom Hearts 3 and any Final Fantasy game that comes out. I've never gotten into any consoles from Nintendo, but I might get the Wii if it can stay strong after all my expenses. I've been happy with Sony for the longest time. Even though the PS3 is expensive, I think it will last longer with the changing technology than the others. Sorry, Xbox360, you just lose. I never liked the original Xbox.
Adding that background gave a really nice depth to the flames. I actually like them, but the ash flying around looks a bit awkward. I'm not sure how ash flies around, but there's just something wrong. I agree, the moon is awesome in this wallpaper. Nice scene overall. Great job.
I really like this wallpaper. The background coloring actually reminds me of a recent Cowboy Bebop wallpaper that was submitted. I really like the lighter colors behind the major. It reminds me of the openning to GITS 2nd Gig. Anyway, I like the vectoring, and very good job with the eyes. Keep up the great wallpapering. +fav
First off, Ghost in the Shell is awesome. Ok, so I love how you got this image to work. I never noticed how wallpaper-friendly this picture was till you made this. The perspective is great, and though there is a nice detailed background, it's not so distracting that you can't put it up as a desktop. Great vectoring, too. You really made this one work well. Keep up the great job. +fav
I really like how the Swordfish looks, but really impressed me was what you did with the background. It seems so random with the circles and stuff, but somehow it definately helps. I especially like the picture of Spike. He matches the background so well, yet he still stands out with his simplicity. Anyway, amazing wallpaper. Good job.
Nice job vectoring, and I'm sorry you had to in the first place. I like it, and the title fits well. Hmm, can't think of anything I'd change. Nice job.
It's a great wallpaper. I think you're right, the simplicity and lonliness go well with Rei. I know it's already been said, but the one thing is a shadow is needed. Once that's added, she would blend together with the background so they look like one wallpaper. Very nice wallpaper though. Good job.

I don't know the source of this, but even so it caught my attention. I love the colors and especially the design of the background! I do agree with kunoichizm that the character would be better vectored, but I know I at least hate vectoring. +fav
