Yeah, I really wish that Angel Sanctuary would be adapted into a longer tv series (at least 52 episodes) to cover the whole manga series. It has a ton of great characters (like Mad Hatter, Zephikel, and the Four Elemental Angels) who deserve to be animated. But then again, I guess the content _ is_ pretty extreme...

Where do you get manga?
I buy most of my manga at bookstores like Border's or Barnes and Noble. I like to read them right away, so I have little patience for online shopping like Amazon...
What Anime Left you wanting more
Koi Kaze. The final episode was rather vague and open-ended (like a lot of anime endings) and I'm dying to know more about what happened to the central characters after the final scene.
Paradise Kiss
they had me at the Velvet Goldmine quote. One of my absolute favorites Ha! Yes, if there's ever a live-action Parakiss movie, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers has to play George.
Who reads manga via-online?
I don't read much manga online. I like to support the creators by buying their books (unless the English version has been edited or suffers from a terrible translation). Mostly I read unlicensed manga online, like Koi Kaze or Honey and Clover.
Fruits Basket Anime Ending
A second season would be great, if only to see the love triangle resolved on screen and to have the rest of the Zodiac animated. However, the way the anime ended could get in the way of future episodes, since there were a few major changes from the manga's story... Particularly Akito's role in the curse, and even the true gender of one of the major characters.
X/1999
X is a really great story; one of the first mangas I ever read. The television series based on the manga is rather good too, but the movie is a large disappointment (despite the beautiful animation). A word of caution to those just reading the manga, however...
CLAMP put the manga on hiatus several years ago (the original manga publisher thought the earthquake-related violence was getting too intense for a shoujo magazine) and it's unknown when it will continue. So, for now, the X manga remains unfinished.
NANA TV
I HATE FREAKIN SHOJI!! DIE U CHEATING BASTARD!!! DIE!! That's a little harsh. Shouji should not have cheated on Hachi, but he can't help it if he's fallen in love with another woman. It takes two to maintain a relationship, and Hachi really didn't carry her own weight. She's often whiny, selfish, and childish, so I honestly can't blame Shouji for getting tired of her. He made a big mistake, but that's life.
Disipointing animes
The Angel Sanctuary OAV series was really disappointing. The manga series is a beautifully-drawn, complex, original piece of story-telling, but all it received was a subpar OAV series that only covered what was arguably the manga's weakest story arc (it even cut out the reason why the series is called "Angel Santcuary!"). It's a shame that many people who saw the OAV and disliked it will probably never give the manga a chance (thoughI, thankfully, picked up a volume so I could see how a cliffhanger resolved).
Neon Genesis Evangelion worth watching?
I agree, Eva is a great and ground-breaking series that every anime fan should watch. It has its share of overzealous fans who tend to overhype it, but it's a remarkable piece of story-telling. (Oh, and Asuka is pretty cute.)
saddest ending of an anime/manga
I'm really surprised that no one has mentioned End of Evangelion: The cast is killed off and it is implied that the only apparent survivors, Shinji and Asuka, are actually the world's new Adam and Eve. Shinji, still suffering from a hallucinatory experience, tries to strangle Asuka, but she stops him by carressing his cheek. He breaks down and cries, and she says "How disgusting." The film ends with the final image of these two messed up kids left alone on the ravaged planet. Not very encouraging for the future of the human race.
And then there's the anime classic Ideon: Not only does everyone die, but the series ends with the destruction of the entire universe.
Which is the shortest anime series U know?
FLCL only had six half-hour episodes.
Manga by Ai Yazawa
Ai Yazawa's quickly becoming one of my favorite mangakas of all time. At first, her art style took some getting used to, but it's very unique and she had a good eye for fashion. Parakiss and Nana are both great.
Paradise Kiss
i love parakiss because of the style and... the crossovers ^^ with the background of gokinjo monogatari it's just joy ^^ but the end of parakiss, well i don't like it really. i'm a old fashioned happy end fan. and to the happy end belongs george! I have to disagree with you about the ending.
It may have been a "bittersweet" ending, but it was still a happy one. Yukari has a successful career, is in charge of her own destiny, and is engaged to a good guy who loves and respects her. Even though George was her first love, their relationship was unhealthy and destructive. They were bad for each other.
Angel Sanctuary
I haven't heard many bad things about the manga, so I'm definately looking forward to reading it. It gets a bit complicated, but is it beyond following? Or do people just randomly die and reappear for no apparent reason and stuff like that? If there's at least a reason for all the resurrections, then that's all right...but if they randomly appear then... =/
20 volumes and then the series is complete, right? It's a very complex story, but it's also very carefully plotted and all loose ends are tied up and explained. The series is complete.
Angel Sanctuary
I've always wanted to read this series since I saw the three part OVA based on it. I've always wondered if the manga tells more of the story than the anime did. LoL I don't suppose anyones willing to fill me in on that? Does it continue on? Or is that the end of all of it. ^^ The manga goes a LOT farther than the OAV series. The anime covers only about 3 out of 20 volumes of manga. The Angel Sanctuary manga is a real epic.
Have u ever cried..?
I've cried a few times while reading manga. I mostly break down when reading the final pages; the endings of MARS, Paradise Kiss, and Koi Kaze really tugged at my heart-strings and packed an emotional punch.
Ranma 1/2 ^_^
One complain is only about the romance of Ranma and the main girl (can't remember her name). It's always like climbing to a point, then all of a sudden it drops all the way back down only to be built up again, then drop AGAIN =( Yeah, that was my main problem with the series. Ranma 1/2 was a good series, but after a while the constant filler and lack of character development killed my interest in the manga. Oh well.
Hot Gimmick
I agree with ecristy85. Ryoki appeals to a lot of readers because he's the "bad boy" who needs a good girl to straighten him out. It's a literary cliche that's hard to swallow in Hot Gimmick because Ryoki is verbally and physically abusive. But what are Harumi's other options? A disturbed childhood friend who tried to gang rape her? Her brother? (Even if she and Shinogu aren't actually related, she's grown up believing him to be her "oniichan" so it would still be emotional incest--which can be just as damaging.) Between the three suitors, there's realistically no chance of Harumi having a healthy relationship. If forced to make a choice, I would choose Ryoki over Azusa and Shinogu, because Ryoki is at least a _ recovering_ sociopath.
Paradise Kiss
Ah, this manga just got licensed... The anime series just got licensed; the Parakiss manga's been out for a while.
Neon Genesis Evangelion Manga
when did # 9 come out? i never saw it in any store It came out a long time ago--early 2005. If you can't find it in a bookstore, try Amazon or RightStuf.
What Anime would make the best live action movie
I think realistic anime like Perfect Blue or Koi Kaze could make great live-action films. Just get a good script, director, and cast, and you wouldn't need to worry about special effects...
God Save The Queen
I love it! Very original idea for a wallpaper, yet still very appropriate for the Black Stones. It's a very well done homage to the Sex Pistols.
