I'm glad I could spread the joy of reading manga. I don't read manga that much anymore but sometimes I poke around. When I get excited about a particular manga I post it on my journal. Good to see I made a Akame ga Kiru fan. The art is really good. I like how the characters have sharp features and thin bodies.

Yea... I didn't catch up right away when the chapters were released but I did accidentally run into the major spoiler while browsing another site. Thanks for not getting too ahead of yourself and containing it lol. I am now caught up though. The ups and downs is what makes this manga pretty good. Oh, of course all the blood and dismembering too.

At first I thought it was some Medaka wall lol.

It's awesome how you have so many versions to choose from. I can't even make 1 background to save my life. The concept fits together perfectly. You can connect Siri to the phone and how she is standing by awaiting commands. I admire people who can Frankenstein several scans or drawings together and make it look smooth. Little details like the hexagon shapes make her feel more like an AI instead of some chick coming out of a portal. I'm not 100% sure what's going on the side of her hip. At first I thought it was a piece of her missing that's still constructing but I can also see it as cloth that's folded on the end. Kind of interesting to see it both ways. How silly of you to put 69% haha.

Main thing that's really bothering me is the "quality" of the wall. It looks like it was saved in gif format instead of jpeg or png. This puts dither(noise-pattern) on all the gradients and some discoloration.

Is dat some Leafa tits and Sista in WIP?

He has balls of steel and carries the hope and dreams of men. Out of all the girls though... I couldn't choose one. I'm leaning towards Niwa. I like how she teases/screws with people. She doesn't get a lot of screen time so it's hard for me to completely fall for her. : (

Thanks for the ideas. I originally wanted some sort of cracked ground under her and then add on from there. But the cracks looked really bad and not 'organic' at all. Back drop was originally black and have that dark room feel with white spot lights. I felt that her hair just got lost in the black. The white background makes her hair more visible.

Think I'll start playing around with stone tiling which runs along your temple idea. But I can never get the stone shapes right and I trace photos x__x. They always look like bad elementary paper cut outs!

I've slowly developed my style because of being inspired by walls of other artists. I wish I could use AI but it's so hard for me. I actually got to a point where I finally made AI do what I wanted to do. But it comes at doing an extra keystroke compared to PS per move. That stacks like crazy over a long period of time and feels awkward. Gradient mesh is the one thing I want to use because it would actually make my vectors more realistic with irregular gradients. The way I do irregular gradients right now is just so complicated. I guess it's what gives my vectors a certain style.

I like the color palette a lot because it pops out. I like the magenta and violet which I think are colors that should be used more in wallpapers. The bright orange adds a lot to the wallpaper. If it were just pinks and purples it would be pretty boring. Bold typography takes a good chunk of negative space out of the wallpaper. The ribbon design reminds me of the steam from COFFEE thus adding on to the Dunkin' Donuts theme. I'll take it further by saying that it goes from hot to cool like heat dissipating into the air. You're pretty good at constructing simple wallpapers.

Hair looks a bit muddy because of the orange and pink/purple blend. No idea how I'd fix it unless I played around with colors more. +

Anyway... lol yes... some famous artists do have some others that copy their style. Redjuice was one of them. Tony Taka and Ishikei/NISE have some artists that mimic their style. There's probably several artists but that's what I know off the top of my head.

I actually like this wall even though it is a quickie. It sort of feel like those official character walls that get uploaded on to sites. Oh man... the target reticles or whatever you call them are so old school. I did the same crap on my wall and forum sigs on other sites lol. The fractal or scattered shapes/designs just screams redjuice. The orange accent inside the cockpit was a nice touch. Though it would have been cool if it was aligned with the cockpit's perspective lines. It helps extend the orange into an area with gray as the dominant color which kills some of the boringness. Not sure if her glasses or goggles are a hologram or part of her headset but it looks cool. It's there but not there since it's hard to see. The blue effects or shrapnel flying around just makes me think of Guilty Crown haha. The text makes the wall feel more technical or more electronic. I can imagine her in the cockpit and having all these screens pop out.

I think there's too many circles. Altering their point of view might have made it more exciting. The main that bothered me is the lack of contrast which is the 'fade' cherub may be talking about. I just copy pasta'd the wall into PS and used curve adjustments. I made the whites a bit lighter and grays/blacks x2-3 darker and slapped it on to my desktop. This brings more richness into the wall and makes it more appealing.

You're making this style yours. Combining different monochrome scans and placing characters from each one to make a huge collage. My favorite part about your style is that it combines bold black shapes and gradients to create a wall. When I view the way you handle gradients it reminds me of myself. Throwing down a bunch of subtle gradients and blending them together. Even the tiniest and shortest gradient makes a big difference in the end. It's wonderful how the color is constantly blending into a different one. This keeps the eye interested instead of having a linear color change across the wall.

I sort of agree with srsng about the "Haven't I seen this style before?" It's done in the same style as your other popular DOGS wall which isn't bad. I would like to see you do a full color with the same style and technique in a future wall. Which is mostly getting rid of the gray and red background. You have a good sense of getting the right color and contrast so I think you will be successful. It's just a matter of getting in the mood. : )

Echoing a bit of what I said over at MT. I like how the colors pop against the B&W background. The purple and orange work well with each other. On top of that the pink works with the purple and the orange works with the yellow. It reminds me of finding out which blood type can donate/receive lol. A generous amount of abstraction using the shapes. The amount to fills up the space and enough detail to make it look good without making it into a mess. Good choice of typography integrating smooth fonts and mixing skinny and bold fonts to not make it into a bore fest.

I like how the wall combines several simple shapes and silhouettes. The teal and orange version feels very fresh and relaxing to my eyes. Water splashing beneath her feet looks cool. It makes me want to rinse my mouth with Listerine. The water and her umbrella can make you think a bit about the wall. It could be a clear day after it rained and she's stepping in puddles. Everything is trying to construct a believable area with buildings, trees, and birds but it feels surreal with the way everything is place. It becomes artistic and surreal instead of being more structural ad believable. The overlapping shapes and different shades makes the wall very enjoyable to view. I like how the skirt can look like it's made of feathers.

Trees on the left look too gritty, brushed, and detailed. They should be more smoother like the trees in the middle-back to be consistent with the rest of the wall.

I'd imagine her to have teal striped panties with a tiny orange ribbon.

I know that feeling. Reading the comments after I make a wall/vector is what also keeps me going. That's why I always itch to make and release a wall but it's hard for me to produce a wall. I hold myself to high standards and I work so slow. Finding a good scan takes a long time, vectoring takes me a long time, and making a background to fit the character takes a long time for me. Somewhere along that road I get tired and lose some motivation. My current wall has been on hiatus for almost 2 weeks after finishing the vector. I can't think of a background that would absolutely amaze me.
