A little update on the hair - lineart. Moving super slow but I think i'm getting the hang of it! The hair is still very rough but it just a bit more work done with the details and it'll be good to go :)
Thanks guys! I've been working on client work these past few days, finally getting busy lol. But i'll try to update this with something new within a day or two! Thanks so much for all the support!
Once again, if anyone knows of any tutorial that might be benefitial to this painting / painting style please let me know!! Still would love to learn from a professional lol

Super awesome! Love Ed period, so this is an instant fav!
Yeah, I'll def do that! Thanks!
Thus far I just did a bit more on the lineart- need more time to work on this! -
and tried a bit more on the hair. That's a bit tricky for me, but I think i'll get it. just needs quite a bit more tweeking and tuning lol.

EDIT: I worked a bit more on the face:http://www.4sync.com/photo/K3kYNJUj/face-update.html
I edited my brush settings quite a bit. At first i was going at it with 100% opacity and 100% flow which made the "smudgy" effect nearly impossible. After changing it to nearly 10% each it's a lot easier to control it now and make it still sharp yet blended. I'll update this with new screen shots as I go on. The hair is going to be the biggest struggle at this point :) lol
HappyTail, I think i'll actually try to paint the water, it will be a pain in the ass but I'll try it!
My problem sometimes is that "smudgy" effect when paiting and having a very light and brushed effect. I'll play around with it more of course, hope i can get it.
I would have to agree with Nysha, I paint in watercolors most of my life so that's why it looks a lot like it. That's pretty much the only style I'm any good at lol.
As for the face being pale... I tried to match those same skin tones as in the scan. I'll bring the brightness down a bit however since both of you suggest it'll be best. :)

I don't know, I don't agree with Acid all that much. I think it looks well proportioned and well placed. Only thing I think I might have wanted to see more would be a bit of a more crisp scan on the character. That or a painted/vectored version of it, so it looks more "polished" But then again the background is somewhat grungy so perhaps that wouldn't have worked. lol Either way, I like the feel of this one a lot and honestly positioning her in the middle was a good choice I think. It gives the entire piece a good symmetry and balance. Her feet have good shading and placing as to the stairs so it's not like she was "pasted" on, not in my opinion anyway. :)
Thanks so much for sharing I like it nonetheless! (Nice rain effect as well, not too much but still visible and gives a good side effect!)

Absolutely love all the hard work you put into both of these versions. However, on the outside one it seems odd how the shadow is so edgy... jagged alsmost. :( Eitherway, its a great peiece of art!
Incredible work here! Such a gorgeous vector, extremely well made. Amazing work
Thank you! It was just small practice to see if I should or can get back in the game :)
Funny how you say that, I'm working on 100% vector wall right now lol. Hope it'll still be appreciated, I'm rather excited about it!
Really nice work here! I do like the sharper coloring more than when it's blurred, but it still looks fantastic in this style. And great work on lengthening her wardrobe, it looks great in blue as well! :)
Seriously LOVE goku, nice work!
Fantastic job here! Very moving, great details and precision on the vector is spotless! Nice work!
The vector is a very nice one! Clean and crisp, gorgeous! The background looks a tad different than from vector style.. Like it needs a bit more "sharpness" somehow. Nevertheless, very clean work!
This is amazing, such clean and stunning work! Amazing, love all the minimal details and the vector is superb! Great work Cilou!
Wow, so gorgeous! Great composition and the vector, SO amazing!
A fav for sure, amazing work!!
Super clean and great composition. Very nice work, the vector is spot-less! Lovely way of cutting off the bottom to lessen the gore haha, it's beautiful!
Very nice vector! So clean, love it!
Very nicely done! :) Lovely image and the work here is clean and well worth the effort!
Really neat!! The entire scene is very well put together. The colors compliment each other nicely and the altogether atmosphere is very cool! Nice work!
Very clean, I like it. :)
Fantastic! Ed looks great!
Very nicely done! I like all the "remodeling" you did here. Very clean and powerful!
