I think artists should see piracy as a way to publicise their works and also see it as a gesture of support. No one would pirate your stuff if they don't like it so you can tell how popular you are by the number of places where you can download your art for free.

Also, exports are extortionately expensive and songs should be a way to express yourself, not just to get money.

I would buy the titles but there's too many and they're way too expensive, more precisely the blue-ray ones! The alternatives are to download them or watch them online, though i've been sticking to the first method since a long time now. My only hope is that when i get a job and start earning money, i'll buy the titles so that i can support the authors.

For me being interested in anime is not a waste of time. Rather its somewhat a way of escaping this tiresome and stressful reality that we call life. Take deathnote for an example. such a great anime that gives us an idea of what would the world be if this "notebook" really existed. Anime is actually an expression of man's curiosity of the unknown and its his way of channeling his/ her emotions may it be real or just imaginary. Its not just kid's stuff.. taking school rumble for another example. yes some parts of this anime may be too impossible but the feeling of having that first love in school is real. Anime is not bad influence rather, its an inspiration for people to channel their thoughts, desires and emotions thru non harmful and non violent things.

Watching anime is definitely a hobby. Therefore, if we can control it, like with any other hobbies, anime is good. In fact, there are many many anime whose purpose is not only entertainment, but also education. Watching something educational but still entertaining is indeed a very good way to learn.

But if we spend too much time on anime, it becomes bad. Really bad.

I'd say so since anime characters can have any personality traits and interests and looks that the author desires so if the author of a manga made the perfect girl or guy for him or her then obviously there would be someone who also had the authors likes and dislikes and if he or she got really into the manga then if they became obsessed enough and became one of those people who makes heaps of references to it during conversations then they could fall in love with the character

The more I grow up the more I have hard time concentrating. I used to be able to isolate the surrounding environment and create a quiet room for me in my mind so I was able to read. But now, it is hopeless. A little of sound annoys me. And the frustrating thing is my parents always turn on the TV whenever I read. It seems like they enjoy ruining my reading. When I can't concentrate on my book, I have to repeat over and over the sentences to get my mind concentrate on what the sentences mean.

I have the DS, but that doesn't mean the I'm bias. I really think that the DS is better than the PSP in terms of number of games that I liked. Obviously, I like much more DS games than PSP games. However, I know that the PSP has also great games, and has a lot of stuff that you can do. I wish the DS has those capabilities, but I prioritize games over everything else. In addition, somes games for the PSP have ports from other games such as tekken 6 and soul calibur broken destiny. I prefer to play those on the consoles since I don't like the small screen size for the PSP or the DS.

Don't get me wrong, I would like to own both the PSP and the DS, but I'm only to get one because of my economical situation. Even if the PSP gets more price cut, I think the small number of likable games wouldn't persuade me to buy it. I've heard you can use componet cables on the psp and hook it up on to a big screen tv. That would be totally cool as long as the resolution doesn't suffer.

I dont like it to compare the DS with the PSP because i think these consoles are made for different Groups of gamers. The Nintendo DS has the Touch Screen which allows new Gameplays. I think the Gamplay of games like "The World Ends with you" is a new and sucessfully way to lead to new paths of Game Development. The PSP is an All-Around Device. It has good grafics and many usefull features. But it isent new. It´s only a portable consol with a MP3- and Movieplayer. All these things have already exist. Now there is a Gadget which have all these things in one case. At the end I want to say that i thnik that the Nintendo DS has a better game expirience than the PSP.

My friends are all fellow otakus with the exception of 2, which in a funny way, happen to be males.

But, we don't talk about it that much when we're in a group. We usually have different tastes. For example, if someone brings up a topic about One Piece, only about 4 out of the 11 would have something to say. Same goes for any and all anime and manga. The only possible exceptions are Naruto and Death Note. And the only reason we talk about Death Note is because we own a replica of the notebook and take turns filling out names! XD

ooooh ALL my friends read mangas, were one big group! XD...we all like similar mangas too. My closest friend, i got her into most of the mangas we read....one of the first ones i had her read was angel sanctuary....long before it was translated into english. then came the Cain series...Blood Hound...Boys next door....Gravel Kingdom..Neji...all of Kaori Yukies mangas....then we looked at DNAngel...Hellsing....Decendant of Darkness...Alichino....the latest one i read with her was Trinity Blood...XD....its funny how i get her into these mangas....i find out about them accidently!...and i quickly find them intresting and pass it on.....I also read the Devil May Cry 3 mangas which i found veeeery funny...Dantes such a cocky tart....i guess those who know who im talking about including myself love him for his wise cracks...XD.....there were many other mangas we both read but i cant remember the other ones....way to maaany..... My closest friends also love anime/manga, because i'm not able to become real friends with someone that doesn't like it(because i won't have anything to talk about with the person). The other people that I know don't have an opninion formed about the subject...I think some of them think it's a bit childsh that I like it, but they don't tell me that(obviously). All my friends respect what I like, otherwise I would not become friends with them.

I would always go Japanese all the way. But sometimes the English isn't so bad. It just needs the right voices with the right voice-ACTING. Sometimes it would be good but still wouldn't top the Japanese. (Unless it was Dragonball Z). Plus watching Japanese with subtitles can increase reading skills. You may not be able to comprehend that quick but it increases the reading speed.

I have seen people read a sentence, like "I hate to play games", for 10 seconds. That's REALLY slow. But I digress...

i'd have to say there are few good dubs out there that seem real and fit the characters personalities or your expectations of what they would be like.... that's why if u appreciate voice acting subs are the way to go. there are exceptions tho. personally, for example, i thought the cowboy bebop english dubs were awesome. especially spikes

there is no way to watch in english... dub suck !!!

I think you must watch the anime with the original sound and put the sub on!

If you watch dub you gonna lose quality and well...its not the original voice...

Well i usually read mage on the bed,just fun.Almost i download them from the scanlators .And i wish i had a 3g phone to read them on my phone when i go home...Sometimes I also go to Mangareader or Mangastream to read my mangas.
