The movie and book is certainly something. But the movie mentioned a son in the epilouge but not in the books, anyone know why?

I'm a big fan of type/moon series and Kara no Kyoukai is just amazing. I watched the movies and it does leave a great impact. You should also try out the book cause it is just amazing, more deep and inspiring. I especially like how the book used first person and you really get to understand deeper of the whole story.

Well, we first assume that both eyes have the same power; in my opinion, Tohno Shiki has better instinct than Ryougi Shiki. Ryougi is trained in swordsmanship and has really good mobility, and she seems to get used to her eyes and can execute attackes very well. But if you read the manga and play the game of Tsukihime, Tohno is a born killer. Although he himself when fighting have skills not that good enough, once he awakens (looses his mind), he is a more effecient and deadly killer than Ryougi.
