nah, I think it went to like ep 24 with the god hand and god foot guys as the end of 4th stage...and it didn't exactly finish...they're still racing as project D...so there's probably going to be a 5th stage...since the manga is still continuing. btw...That Initial D Hong Kong movie also stank as well....they left out some key characters and kind of mingled up some of the characters personalities. I didn't really think their casting was any good either (Jay Chou is a good singer...but I can't say the same about his looks or acting skills....heck Edison would've even been better as Takumi)....at least the racing scenes were alrite....oh yea and I also noticed theres the guy that acts as Kuma in the Gokusen drama series in it as a member of the night kids

Tenjou tenge
The anime sucked and had no ending. The manga is better, but nothing to boast about. All of O Great's works are pretty mediocre if you ask me. The selling point is the fanservice, but after a while even that gets boring.
totally agree here, the story wasn't that good and even if you've read the manga its not like its that much better. And like amuro22 says the selling point is the fan service...go maya and aya. If not for that I don't think anyone would have even bothered giving this anime a look. If I have to pick a favourite character it would probably be maya.
Utada
utada hikaru is one of my favorite artists. i was introduced to her music around the time her "distance" album dropped in 2001. then shortly after i backtracked to her "first love" album and became an instant fan.
i really don't know what it is about her music, but its cool to listen to. a lot of people get so attached to the fact that she writes her own music, when artists like ACO have been doing the same exact thing since 1995 and people don't really even know about her till this day.
as far as favorites, mine are:
- final distance
- deep river
- sakura doroppsu
- never let go
how ya doin' (cubic u)
she isnt my absolute favorite, but she is up there on my favorites list.
by the way. to me, her EXODUS album doesnt exist. it is a terrible piece of crap that should be deleted from her career discography.
Totally agree with you EXODUS is her worst album to date....shocker!!!!!!!!!!!!
I first listened to her first songs Automatic and First Love....I think Time will Tell was somewhere around there too....anyway I'm not really a big Hikki fan these days as I used to be but "First Love" is very good song and it'll always be a JPOP classic for me...I remember when it first came out everyone was humming to that song...it was just an awesome song
If you want a good Hikki album and you wanna save money...get Hikki's Best Collection album....its totally awesome, every song is a familiar classic such as: Addicted to you, Can you Keep a Secret, Sakura Drops, Final Distance, Hikari....definitely no regrets
chopsticks...good at using them? prefer them over forks?
chopsticks over forks of course...well being asian my whole family use them at the dinner table...but in my opinion its always more convenient to use a spoon....you can eat soup with it and dry food aswell and you don't need a knife to cut things apart because you can use your spoon to do it
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within
Hmm... don't remember much of Spirits Within anymore. It was a few years ago when I saw it. I remember being amazed by the graphics, but everything else about it sucked. And Square knew it, that's why they did Advent Children. Anyway, it wasn't Final Fantasy at all. In fact I probably would have enjoyed it more if they'd gotten rid of the 'Final Fantasy' in the title. Besides, Advent Children is heaps better anyway.
I totaly agree there about the point that if it didn't have the part "final fantasy" in its title I would have enjoyed it a lot more. Watching it without that tag really makes it more of a decent movie. With the FF tag on it comes all sorts of expectations and so forth. I mean I don't really think this movie was targeted at FF fans to start off with anyway....they were just trying to showcase a movie with where they trying to produce CG characters that were lifelike (which were pretty impressive at that time) to a wide range of audiences even those unfamiliar with FF at all. I guess the FF tag was just so the fans of FF would get suckered into spending money at the box office. I mean back then when I saw it I thought the graphics were amazing, it was just I didn't like the story maybe because of the FF expectation thingy. Anyway if you watch it as a stand alone CG movie you might think its a better movie. I mean for those that hadn't played FFVII or have had any prior knowledge of the storyline Advent Children was probably just great action CG but they had no idea what was going on so they might not have enjoyed it to the same extent as fans....so I think that spirits within was just a CG movie and advent children was for the FF fans.
Sasuke vs. Naruto
I started off thinking sasuke was a cool character, the quiet and strong type with the cocky attitude. But the more the seires progressed the more pathetic he seemed.....always trying to prove himself....when he was strong he would try as hard as possible to prove his superiority and when naruto caught up to him he had a good cry about it and got all paranoid. Naruto hasn't really been one of favourites though I mean...he's got determination and a strong will but I feel like everytime he's in trouble its always the nine-tail fox that bails him out.....at least he's better than sasuke in that he won't resort to anything for power....I mean sasuke is a complete idiot...he goes to orochimaru knowing he is the next container, I can't wait to see sasuke though...after living with orochimaru for so long I wonder how he looks....and naruto seems even more and more out of control with the nine-tails. oh well....hopefully sasuke will eventually turn around sometime soon.
what are the best samurai manga you have read?
Out of the samurai one's I've seen: Samurai Champloo, Rurouni Kenshin, Peacemaker and Samurai Deeper Kyo, I would say Rurouni Kenshin. It has one of those types of storylines and selection of characters that make it memorable.....it will always be a classic for me.
naruto's girls
I mean the majority of female characters (particularly genin) in naruto really lack special techniques, they're mostly just well rounded off. I mean it would be fun to see them play a bit of a bigger role in the show but this is a shounen series so you pretty much expect the guys will be stronger. Tsunade and the other female jounins look pretty strong so probably the genin females will get stronger as the show progresses. For those that haven't read the manga:
Sakura trains under Tsunade as a medical ninja and gets her superhuman power. Her and old lady from the Sand beat Puppet boy from Akatsuki (I think he's still around tho) in their mission to rescue Gaara
Do u like FF Advent Children??
I really liked advent children, especially the new character designs. After watching the movie Tifa is officially my favourite final fantasy female character, she is just so pretty in advent children. Animation wise was good, didn't really care that much about storyline (pretty thin plot especially for those unfamiliar with the FF7 storyline), Turks were funny and Cloud looks cooler and better than ever in CG.
Who plays badminton?!
man I love it....but I'm only an A grade palyer, not good enough for open league yet. I can basically play every shot except I have a real weak backhand clear which pisses me off (kinda stick more to doubles to cover less area...hehe), thats why I had to increase my speed for my footwork for the round the head. I mean when I'm fully positioned for it I can hit it like 3/4 of the court but outta position and its the round the head....got any tips guyz. I've been kinda out of it for a while with other commitments so my fitness is kinda down at the moment.....think I should start playing again in the new years and get my fitness up....lolz
Kiki's Delivery Service
it's not my favourite hayao miyazaki film but it was still okay to watch i guess
Is Inu Yasha that good
I would say its an okay anime, it does have its moments but I really don't like how it was stretched out with naraku.....as soon as naraku entered the frame the storyline became a repetative hunt for naraku which I think kinda ruined the series
samurai x
Kenshin already had a happy ending why did they have to stuff it up with reflection......I wish it was never released :(
what do you get after watching anime?
I think anime is just like any other tv series or movie out there....its like, what do you get from watching tv? same principle applies here I guess, you like it.....you buy their merchandise and things like that....spend time on it searching up on characters or pictures......and what you get from it is entertainment I guess.
FF 7 or FF8 ( GAME )
If you're talking about game I really liked FFVIII more, nice romance story, I mean I liked FFVII too but back then the graphics of VIII really stood out on the ps1 and VII didn't look anywhere near as good. Advent children graphics were awesome, take that grahics into the VII game and you'll have an easy winner.
Initial D Fourth Stage
I thought that the live action movie only came out in mando and cantonese......well anyway, if u actually already got the movie you can get a sub file and yeah just name it the same thing shove it in the same folder and when you play the movie just switch subtitles on and hooray you get subtitles
evangelion....is it really ok to let ur kids watch it?
well....I guess even if evangelion is censored and all, kids won't be able to understand the storyline anyway.....my guess is they'll probably get bored of it...so yea...not really an anime aimed for kids
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
I only followed it until the movie...after that I can't really remember much of the show...it just seemed to get sadder and sadder I mean there was this series where a little kid turns into an adult when he morphs.....huh? yea dats what I thought....
Naruto
i dunno.....u make pretty good sense.....but I guess there are a lot of things that are cheating.....I mean the group going after sasuke were genin level ninja's (except for shikamaru) yet the four sound nin were supposed to be jounin level ninja's and yet the genins end up winning or matching skills with these jounins....if we're picky I'm sure we can find more flaws, but then what fun would it be?.....a kids show should be left just as that, where the impossible may happen.......lolz
Why should appearance be so important to people?
appearance is important no matter how much you want to put, lets say there was this girl that had a great personality, was really nice, friendly and all except she was like 150kg and had a really ugly face.....which guy will honestly say he'll go out with her.....this goes to girls as well if it was a guy (oh yea also this person is not super rich....just in case some disregard everything for money....lolz). I mean looks aren't everything for reasons as stated by everyone, but they are important to some extent.
Your favourite character for the Final Fantasy
From FFVII definitely Cloud and Tifa.....especially in advent children.....they were pretty poorly animated in the original FFVII ps1 (especially tifa) game so this movie does some justice.....Tifa's just sooooo pretty.
The Manga is better then the Anime?
the manga tends to have more depth in the storyline and the story moves at a steady pace without fillers, but I personally wouldn't say its better than the anime. Of course storyline is clearer and more indepth than some of its anime counterparts but still some series are better watched as an anime. For example, although I like the Initial D manga better since the character designs are constant (the anime style basically changed every stage) and the storyline has a bit more detail but with the races nothing beats squealing tyres, roaring engines and pumping eurobeat music, it just doesn't really work as well in the manga.
Initial D - Live Action Movie
I didn't like the movie..Jay Chou's acting was rather bad. Plus they made the plot rather lame... :(
may contain *spoilers*
that's sooooo true....and what the heck did they do to bunta.....woahhh....some alcoholic abusive father who beats up his son for fun coz his wife left him.....well, towards the end he was alright I guess. Jay Chou looks waaaaay too old as takumi anyway (looks the part for kenji or shingo tho...lolz), edison suits the part way better, he should've been takumi instead. He just didn't have that mature cool charismatic figure of ryosuke, but I guess he did alright. Chapman is one of my fav actors especially his role as keung in the infernal affairs series, but I didn't enjoy his depiction of Itsuki one bit...just waaay too annoying. I was really disappointed that there wasn't keisuke (since he's my favourite character) but I thought Shawn Yue played well as nakazato takeshi the kesiuke replacement in this movie (kinda thought the nightkids uniform was kinda funny and lame tho.....lolz). The themesongs were pretty good especially the sub song near the end, I mean Jay Chou is a great singer...don't get me wrong I love his music, but as for acting.....it looks kinda poor (I'll let him off since it was his first role :P) and he doesn't look too good onscreen. Overall, average movie with hk star studded line up (anthony wong, edison chen, shawn yue, chapman to...hehe infernal affairs cast + jordan chan), if you're a fan of the anime (like me) you may be disappointed (as I was the first time I saw it)......but watch it a few more times as a stand alone movie and it becomes a pretty alright movie. Well....thats what I thought of this movie anyway.

Rurouni Kenshin was a classic anime...especially the Kyoto Arc. The anime kind of ruined it with the third arc (I think it was called..romance of the meiji era?...lol). But back onto the Kyoto Arc it was amazing when I watched it for the first time...especially the fight leading to the Kyoto Arc with Kenshin vs Saito. Then there were classic one on one fights in the Shishio's base: Sanosuke vs Anji, Saito vs Usui and to be honest, although I liked the fights with Soujiro and Shihio, the best fight Kenshin fought with in my opinion was Aoshi. The others seemed to drag on for a bit. If the Revenge Arc was animated I wonder how good that would have been. Obviously the OVA Reflection did it no justice...basically the whole storyline was taken out and all we saw was a short Enishi fight sequence...read the manga for the real ending...then watch the OVA if you have spare time...lol
