Legend of the Galactic Heroes is absolutely amazing. It takes a serious investment of both your time and your attention to properly enjoy, but if you're willing to really put forth the effort, it is very satisfying.

DEADMAN WONDERLAND

The manga was pretty solid, not sure where I stand on the anime. It was really slick looking and nailed the oppressive tone, but it was a bit too messy to be engaging and ended awkwardly.

Do you feel guilty and remorse when you download anime and song

I wouldn't say I feel guilty, but generally I prefer to physically own something.

Whenever I can get my hands on an album or anime or whatever, I will almost always purchase it and delete the files on my computer. Saves space on the hard drive and gives me a sense of personal satisfaction.

How long has anime become a serious hobby for you?

Probably since about 2005. I sorta dropped off around mid-09 but I've been back steady since like summer 2010.

Watching Anime:English or Japanese

It depends on what I'm watching, honestly.

There are a lot of really great dubs, but I wouldn't watch everything dubbed. Some stuff doesn't pull off the transition well (most comedy series) and there's also a hell of a lot more mediocre acting in English dubs than there is in straight-up Japanese stuff.

The future of anime

Honestly, looking back, the ratio of good series to pandering junk has always been pretty bad. It just sticks out more now because those of us who live outside Japan have more immediate access to anime so a lot of the mystery of it is gone. We see everything that is released as it's released and that makes the junk really stick out like a sore thumb.

Do you watch a lot of episodes in one sitting?

Generally, I like to taken in two or three episodes at a time, particularly if it's a very story-driven show. I hate being left on a nasty cliffhanger.

Console or PC?

I have all three consoles and a reasonably well-tuned laptop. Spend most of my time using the PS3, though. I'd PC game more regularly but having to worry about DRM/poor optimization/upgrading hardware kinda sucks, so generally I fall back on consoles for convenience's sake.

Big fan of black metal, doom and drone. Fave bands are Burzum, Emperor, Boris and Sunn0)))

Will anime still be a part of your life as you age?

I don't really see myself completely ignoring it as I grow older, but I probably won't be heavy into the whole fandom thing much longer. To me, anime's essentially on the same level as any other kind of television, so if the show's good I'll watch it and forget silly cultural stigmas.

I don't really feel remorse, but I do prefer to buy stuff when I can. It's less a moral obligation and more that I enjoy collecting things. It really excites me when a show I'm watching gets licensed, because I use fansubs to gauge whether or not I dig the show enough to buy it, and if it's good then I almost never forget to pick it up when a legit version pops up.

Reason for watching Anime?

I'm a big animation geek in general, I don't watch anime for any inherently specific reasons. I judge what I watch on a case by case basis.

Though largely what pushes me to pick up an anime is the style, so I guess that'd be my reason.

What do you think anime remastered?

If it's stuff like that amazing Cowboy Bebop Remix thing, then yeah, I'm fine with remastering.

The enhanced sound really did a ton for bringing out the amazing music.
