I really love Utada's music xD Shes one of my favorite artists. I first got into her music back when I heard Simple and Clean, then got on Kazaa and Imesh and downloaded many of her songs (and got a copy of her Colors CD) It took me till late last year to find her Exodus CD in a store XD
My favorite songs by her are probably the remix of Final Distance (just called DISTANCE), First Love, Movin' On Without You, Devil Inside, and her remakes of Fly Me To The Moon and Close to You.

Maybe i'm just too old skool (and a mac fanboy) but I never understood why people need to cram 2 cores into one processor. I'm perfectly all set with having two processors, but then again, most windows apps don't know how to use more then one core that well yet. And maybe i'm a n00b or something, but when there are more cores in one processor, won't the front side bus have to be greatly increased to handle 4x cores?
Say there's a 1ghz FSB and a quad-core processor, will it have to split it so that each processor receives 250mhz? Or will windows not even bother to use the other cores until it has to really beef out some work, and then when it has to, it will be choking itself. Well things to say:
1.Think of the price it will have when it comes out...
2.Think of the problems it may have since its still on a testing state...Even if they test milions of them per day problems may not occur but remember what happened to PS3?it started with blue ray and 3 days after the Version1(blue ray version) release it got back to the labs to get a DVD on it(Version2)...
3.Do you really need it?I mean there are people still using CPUs under 1GHz...I was one of them 7 months ago.So what if you get a Core 2 Quadro?
In my opinion just wait till mahine and products come to a same height...Now,with the Core 2 Quadro release the mahine is WAY too faster than needed!Which program WONT run on such a machine even 2 years later?... Just think about it...
On the other hand there are people who will buy Core 2 quadros just to brag about em...The"I got better than you"guyz...Im sure you know em.
Hope i helped. robotclaw Maybe i'm just too old skool (and a mac fanboy) but I never understood why people need to cram 2 cores into one processor. Well, you'll note that the Core 2's have much higher amounts of cache memory and higher memory/bus speeds... Also, current AMD processors don't use a front-side bus. Sharing a die also has the obvious benefit of shorter data paths between CPU cores, shorter paths to cache memory, and lower complexity motherboards.
Multithreading single applications isn't really the main draw of multiprocessing (yet), if you ask me. I like being able to run high CPU intensity applications and not have to worry about doing other things in the meantime. Windows' preemptive multitasking method works alright until you get multiple applications running at the same time that take a lot of memory/CPU cycles. That's where the second core is nice to have.
natsumemaya That depend cause next year AMD will surely launch their new processor replacing K8 until that day comes I will wait cause AMD known for memory integrated thing and of course for power consumption as well
Arguably, they're not really replacing the K8 - it's more of a major revision. The K8-L is basically to the Athlon64 what the Core2 is to the Pentium-M. Though, just going by that logic, I think it's safe to say that the K8-L is going to be extremely fast. I will certainly not buy them when they come out...they are simply too new... -they will b expensive -they take hells power and generate hells heat.. -i want to wait for the efficiency to improve and for the tech to settle in for a while -many of today's programs are not optimized for that many threads (if you look at quad-core game benchmarks you will notice that gaming benefit is minimal) ... well rendering and stuff like that is improved signficantly...but hell if i care about that...
Intel seems to have a pretty good advantege right now but... I am looking forward to see what AMD does with ATI in the future though...maybe high-end integrated graphics won't be an oxymoron in the future...
