I have experienced this fealing only a few times in my life but every time i feel somewhat empty for at least a few days. The only animes i really felt this for were Fate/stay night and Shakugan no SHANA. I think this is because their quality was so high that i actually found myself connecting with the characters that deep down i knew weren't real but wanted to beleve were, and when the series ended i had the face the fact that the really didn't exist

I would go for an alice of summoning/fusion. that way i could summon people/abilities from a wide variety of animes and if i want temporarily fuse with the summoned being, gaining their power and temporarily changing my form. (also i could dismis those that i summoned)

If i was in an anime i would want to be someone who is calm even when faced with horrible odds. Someone who almost always has a plan but if not or if the plan fails, can still have a good chance of victory by just fighting. But if i had to pick a character i would probobly be either Archer from fate/stay night, or zelgadis from slayers
