What anime made you cry?

Lots have got me close but only a few have actually made me cry; Ayashi no Ceres gets me every single time I watch it. I like to listen to Scarlet when i myself am upset, it reminds me of the anime. Full moon wo Sagashite also made me cry at the end when Fate's mind was changed because of Meroko. Full Metal Alchemist was sad, Fruits Basket made me cry, Ultra Maniac, oh and Wolf's Rain. Wolf's Rain was a really sad one, the ending was confusing and so there was a conflict of hopeful and sad emotions...still don't know exactly what happened lol

What you lookin for?

Looking for genre doesn't really help me since I love anime from all categories, I guess I really look for art style and a good story. Interesting characters are always good too and its always nice to have new music for my ipod lol. Darker Than Black looks to have that unique story I like while Ouran had the characters and the comedy. Art style I like to lean away from the more realistic look, but away from the supercutsy look too (supercutsy can be scary sometimes).

Game Anime

Some like .hack are excellent candidates for anime because it doesn't show the game but compliments it; it gives a different story and fills in the blanks of the games. I guess since it is a game about a game though its a bit hard to understand without the anime. Other games shouldn't be made into animes though. I believe AIR was based off a game and it was a farely good anime except that it had a "non-ending". The whole process was just to start again. I think the anime was about the games story but since they wanted you to buy the game they didn't give the ending in the anime

What do you wish was real from manga?

Oh I would absolutely love to be in a fantasy world. But more specific lets see. Magic/alchemy/spirit powers from any manga. a variety of characters; namely Fai from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, the Twins Hikaru and Kaoru from Ouran High School Host Club, Ayame from Fruits Basket, Toboe from Wolf's Rain, Mokona also from Tsubasa (both the black and white ones) and Nina from Ultra Maniac. Gundams would be fun to have around and zanpakuto from Bleach. The kimono from Jigoku Shoujo is absolutely beautiful. Theme songs would be fun to have around, music that goes with the events lol. Everything would be very amusing with the funny music of Ayame lol. So many clothes are beautiful too, but just wouldn't seem to work in the real world; CLAMP clothes anyday!! And a pair of gloves from DN Angel; that artist makes the best gloves!

Does anime affect your mood?

Certain animes do. Ouran makes me happier, Ayashi no Ceres depressed and AIR in a bad mood since it had a "non-ending"

OMG!! It's a 'Perfect' world!!

a world where everything is like a utopia..... It would be a dystopia; a dystopia displays all the traits of a utopia except that it is really only perfect on the surface. Generally it isn't perfect because to gain this perfection the people (and namely the individual, as expressed by books like 1984 and Brave New World) are oppressed. The greatest books to read are dystopia's because they show this huge contradiction; that to gain perfection you need to get rid of the individual and an individuals thoughts. Propaganda in these stories is great, manipulation and control of the population. Finally "perfection" is just a word; what are the qualities of perfection, I'm sure that philosophy is still arguing over what defines this.

How do you prefer to watch anime?

Absolutely subbed; although Miyazaki's work is excellently dubbed and both are good to watch. Subbed helps me learn Japanese as well though; listening to the words while reading the translation. I wish I could watch it on TV subbed, just because the quality would be better; TV was made for showing TV images, the computer was not made for this purpose. Even when its high definition there is still a lack of quality and it tends to have problems. Of course it is very amusing to watch the dubbed version on TV and you can see how bad it is and some of the translations are really funny. Like "I LOVE You" from the Cardcaptor Sakura 2nd movie. And there seems to be a very limited supply of voice actors; it seems anime still has a long way to go.

Buying manga

I might buy a few singular ones throughout the year but save my money for one event. Anime North sells manga at $11(Canadian) and so I may buy about 15 or more manga at that time; depending on how much of the series' I'm reading are out and on how much I want to spend on artwork and other stuff. Come quickly May, I want to read more Ouran!!

Final Fantasy Series

I've only played X, X-2 and am currently playing XII. Also played both Kingdom Hearts. All these games have been the highpoint of graphics, storylines and characters. Design of clothes and scenery and weapons so cool. XII definetly gives a different picture and story compared to other previous final fantasys, including some of those I haven't palayed. The battle system is excellent, more like Kingdom Hearts, I love this system and I hope they continue to use it.

Now as for the best, I have to give my vote to a game that isn't even out yet. Final Fantasy Versus 13 although Final Fantasy13 looks excellent and both have realtime graphics that are indistinguishable from cinematic graphics, the story for Versus looks better so far. A king whos eyes turn red in battle and he has multiple weapons. If anyone hasn't seen the trailers yet I suggest you head over to youtube. The writer for the Versus trailer is unbelieveable and the theme song Somnus-Nemuri by Yoko Shimomura is one of the greatest songs I ahve ever heard (although the whole song is not available till the game comes out). The trailer for 13 is longer than that of Versus and so far more is known about it. The girl codename, Lightning has a gunblade!!!! Leon's gunblade was great and now there is this smaller version. The trailer shows the amazing graphic capabilities. I guess PS3 was being made with Final Fantasy in mind. Anyways the next generation of Fabula Nova Crystallis is looking great, I just can't wait...first have to get a PS3 though.

The manga and anime both are on my top 5 list for their selective categories. Although the anime ended it well, it still was not quite an ending and definetly is not the ending the manga will have. The voice acting and artwork was great. I liked how the twins had two different voice actors, it made it easier to tell them apart lol. Bisco Hatori's artwork has been constantly improving each volume too. I hope that the triangle gets getting more complicated. I now have to wait til Anime North in may before I buy anymore, it's hard restraining myself lol. The Twins are the best characters; so funny and yet such sad characters. Brothery Love!

BEST STORY

.hack always keeps me thinking, but I guess thats part of the RPG whihc it represents lol. Getbackers was a really excellent anime too and it had an intriging plot about the characters and their places in mugenjyo (i think thats how its spelt). I really wish it had ended better; it sort of ended with a question. The manga would address this, but I don't really like the style of the manga. Death note was an absolutely mind blowing story, the writer himself must be a genius to come up with such complicated plans lol. I look forward to seeing both the anime and the live-action movie. Wolf's Rain had great and memorable characters, especially Toboe, and the artwork was stunning. A really sad story but one which continually demanded that you have hope.

The cute characters from Fruits Basket or Ouran High School Host Club; yes!! the twins, oh that would make life hilarious, would be good from manga. Also any of the Gundams would be nice...and the shingami swords from Bleach lol.

If someone broke my dvds they would have to replace them; cash please if they couldn't find it again. otherwise I would pray that I could still find the torrent; would be really mad if it was one of my favourite series and I couldn't refind the torrent. Heads would be rolling lol

Anime And You...

My friend one day dragged me to her house and forced me to watch Inuyasha. Was COMPLETELY addicted. I had watched some anime before like Cardcaptors on Teletoon and Sailor Moon, but didn't know at that point that it was called anime. I curse the name of my friend while thanking her like a goddess lol

Why are animes SO...

Defiantly had this sort of experience; but I say it splits into two. One is the "why the hell did it end this way" I hate this ending and than there is the emotionally confusing "why the hell did it end this way but still it was such a good anime". The first one would get Rahxephon, it was a good anime until the end. In the second would be Wolf's Rain, can't believe my favourite character died!!, Ayashi no Ceres, made me cry at the end, and Fruits Basket, but only because it was an incomplete ending. I also agree with Trinity Blood, it sort of was like "his is not the ending". I too agree with Full Metal Alchemist, but this is one of the reasons why it is good to watch the anime and read the manga; the manga usually has a good ending.

The most unpredictable anime's ending you've ever seen

Ayashi no Ceres had the most surprising ending; a terribly sad ending, makes me cry each time I see it. Usually animes turn out all right with good endings, but in this case Aya is too have a baby and Touya dies!! A main character dies and she is expected to live. They only have 1 year together and then he will die; they even know the time he dies which is what is really sad.

Neon Genesis Evangelion VS RahXephon

I prefer the design of the rahxephon to the evanglion...the stories are alike but not too alike that they both become uniteresting. I espeically like how Rahxephon uses the concept of music.

Strike Freedom vs. Wing Zero

Well the Freedom is more advanced and would definitely be from a later age of Gundams, so it would most likely win...but you also have to take into account the pilots. Both of them are really intelligent, but as to battle sense I would say Heero is the better not to mention that Kira really doesn't want to fight at all. So it really could be a toss up...I would love to see those two fight, considering there different opinions on the subject of fighting and war.

Chrno Crusade was the most stupid ending i ever saw

The ending was sad, but both the main characters died after all the trouble and building up hope. And also it ends like "doom is still coming". And of course without Chrno and Rosette their is really no hope any longer. They just wouldn't want to die in peace and say let the world handle its problems, they would want to fight!

I like Ukitake taicho, his senpaku is sooo different. I don't think I've ever seen a weapon like that before. My other favourite is Byakuya of course, the quiet cool types I always like. His bankai is also really great. I got shivers every time I saw it in the opening lol.

For me I just finished watching Trinity Blood, excellent series love the music. But otherwise I am watching a lot Ouran High School Host Club: So funny that my sides are always hurting .hack//roots: If you found .hack//sign and liminality a little too boring than the lastest installment will restore your faith. A lot less talking and more action. And Haseo's evil look!! Go PKK Utawareru mono: The art style is very nice. Not so much of an apparent story line yet (only on episode 10) Jigoku Shoujo: A creepy story about the hell girl, who takes revenge upon people for others. Two graves are dug though, one soul goes to hell immediately while the other is doomed to join them when they die. Bleach: highly action packed and some think its just another shinigami story but I don't think so. Gives a unique approach. Hellsing: Watched most of it but than stupid Rogers didn't have the last disk, so had to download that. Most awesome vampire series there is!!

Wish has a really sweet story Magic Knights Rayearth short but a sad tale. Read all six volumes. XXXHolic has a really nice heavy style, the butterfly patterns are always really good too. The smoke looks so thick its really great. RG Veda is strangely interesting, again the style is very nice but the story is really good too. A very desperate tale. Some say it is hard to place Ashura's gender but to me he is male, although if you look at Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle it is much harder to tell. And yes Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle is another that I really like Fai and Mokona are my favs lol.
