I have to agree with about everything these guys said.. so yeah. o_o.. anime will never truely be accepted by everyone in america, because thats just not possible. nothing is 100% accepted anywhere, so jah.. most people I know think anime is lame.. and say its just a bunch of cartoon porn.. for some odd reason .. but uh.. i generally love anime, and im american. as for age issues, ive never even seen or heard of an older person watching anime.. generally just like 30 and below so far for me (o_o)

For the most part.. I think its a mixture of everything thats been listed. But as for me personally.. Id think that it depends on how the anime is drawn/animated, the story.. and how good character development is. Without those.. its just gonna be kind of lame.

Drawn/Animated This can be from how cool the characters look to how well the animators move them around and all. I know personally that.. if the anime looks sloppy and the characters look kind of dumb.. then I probably wont have much of an interest in it.

Story As many have mentioned, Story is the one key thing that will get you interested or just plain out make you hate the anime. There are alot of pretty original and well though out animes out these days, but there are also some that are very similar to others.

Character Development Aside to story, the other main thing that attracts you to an anime. If the character just goes out one day, and bcomes all powerfull and kills everyone.. well its gonna be kind of lame. IN some senses though, it can work. In other it doesnt. Theres times when you want to see a character struggle to become the best, and other when you just want them to walk in all cool like and beat everyone up! XD

Well anywho, thats my two cents on this issue.. sorry for the ranting i guess (o_o)

Id donate to animepaper so i can get a bunch of free papers >>.. not really free.. but whats a few thousand doalls if you get a bunch of money or have a bunch of money! =3
