I'm an Evangelion freak, so it's obvious to say that I loved the series. And the series ending was way better then the movie. It does get a little confusing but I understood quite a bit of it surprisingly (or i could be living in denial :P who knows) anyways, I did hear they were doing a live action movie of it.... but that's rather old news.... it never quite happened but they were thinking of doing it using the programme developed for th LOTR movies. Still. I don't want the live action to EVER happen. It'll ruin it.... especially if they're using Caucasian actors. You have no idea how many EVA fans out there were hoping for D. Radcliffe a.k.a 'harry potter' to play Shinji. All I can say is 'gag'. Something about live action just seems off putting to me..... I guess it'll depend on the cast.... and effects I guess. I'm sorry, but I'm an 'ANTI LIVE ACTION EVA FAN".... Am I alone...?

Do you think it is bad if we like watching anime more than watching films which played by real peopl
Personally, I'm a movie junkie. I love my films, animation and live action. But considering the quality of most movies out these days, I think it's perfectly fine (and almost expected!) to watch more anime then live action films. At least you know the money is going to people who actually work their butts off to get us some good entertainment. Unlike the hollywood stars who get paid millions of dollars. Anime stroylines are top notch, and usually different and unique from most others. There's always bound to be a character you like in their, with good music and visually stunning. The humour is good too. Not to mention, if it's suppose to be scary, it really will be. Unlike most films out these days that always seem to be a disappointment. Well, it could just me being biased. Can't help it, I'm a big anime fan. Well, that's my two cents worth. :p
Story or Art?
It seems a lot of people used examples to justify their reasonings. A lot compared the genres such as the romance vs shonen. I admit, sometimes the Shonen art gets too... how shall I say it... ugly? Well, u get the drift. But I still prefer it over most of the shouju art. They just get on my nerves, too girly I guess.
But you know what, the reason I still like the Shounen is more then likely because the story gets better by the pages. Romance art probably irritates me more and more because the story gets more and more annoying (or repetitive).
Well, that's what I reckon.
RUROUNI KENSHIN
I started watching the anime series first, and that got me into the manga.... though I've only read up to chapter 52. It incorporated so many things and was always amusing so it's definitely one of my ultimate favs besides Evangelion. Fav character would be Kenshin (no duh) and Sano. Hajime Saito is up there too along with Hannya. A lot of people was saying about the unclimatic ending.... And I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who felt more then a little disappointed. It drove me up the wall!
I enjoyed the OVA because I felt it explained Kenshin's personality more. Reflections was a little rushed but at least it gave a proper ending then what the series did. I honestly would have perferred it if they put Enishi (i think that's his name) into the actual series. That would have been interesting and provided a hellavu better ending then the one given.
Anime Collection: Do you have one?
Damn, here my mom was complaining about me having too much! My collection is nothing compared to you guys! ^_^
Anyways, I still feel I should contribute my 2 cents as well.

Your expectations for dating
Well, I've dated one guy that was.... bout 6 year solder then me, and it did feel nice. He was good to me and always made me feel safe. But something just wouldn't click with us. Not long after, I met a guy younger then me, but we got a long so well it was crazy. Even though we eventually had to split, there was a big difference in both relationships. So the 'feel' is really important.
I was reading and a lot of people was saying stuff like 'look beyond the surface'... I mean, I'm all for that. But the thing is, it's good and all to say stuff like that, but can you really, and I mean REALLY follow it at the beginning? I mean, sure, after a while, if a person is rotten, they're rotten. You'll see that and dump them. But the first thing people notice about you are your looks. You can't deny that. Looks mean a lot, on first term basis. It's hard to not to make a mistake without taking your time I guess.
Who's your favourite bad guy?
I'm saying Shishio form Rurouni Kenshin. He comes across as a guy with a real good sense of humour to me. Is that normal or is it just me? And if the angels ae considered the bad guys in Neon Genesis, then Kaworu Nagisa.
English Dubbing in America
Personally.... If people really like anime, they should be able to hack reading the subtitles. When dubbing, the characters seem to loose their characteristics. You just don't get the full extent of the characters. Not to mention, the voices are completely off half the time. It just sounds too off. I think the japanese language is what gives the characters a little more depth, I mean, after all, most of them are based on Japanese people and you can't really deny the fact that our language and the way we speak do play a pretty important part of what makes us... us I guess.
Mind you, I do pity some of the english dubbers. I mean, having to say so much in that one moment. I'd honestly run out of breath.
Fav. Manga-ka
I don't many manga-ka by name, but with story and artwork, I'll have to say Kaori Yuki is my fav.
how did you come up with your user names?
Well, my user name isn't very exotic or cool but I use it for most everything. My fav writer is Oscar Wilde (hence the wiLdE) and at the time, a buddy of mine was saying I ought to be a priest because I was always giving (unwanted) advice :p. So I thought wilde-confessions suited me well.
Does your friends watch anime?
Well, I know a few who watches it like once every two years or something!
There are only two people I know that watch it as in regularly. No one else I know is as into it as me besides them, that goes for manga too.
If you could date an Anime character, who would it be?
Hmmm, this is tricky.
Well, since I'm a huge EVA fan, I should say someone from there... which narrows it quite a bit to be honest.
1) Shinji Ikari (I know, I know!!! He may be a bit wimpy at times but you would be too damn it if you had a father like Gendou.... hmm, I'm justifying myself.... it's never good when I need to justify myself... oh well :p) 2) Kaworu Nagisa (Beautiful soul and seductive smile... *sigh*)
I would choose Fuyutski as well but the age is probably a problem.... then again... they are anime... eep...
well, 3) for me would be Haruka (Onikui Tengu) from Tactics. Just look at him!!! That says it all. Okay, starting to sound like a silly school girl. Ending connection now......
THE LOVE OF NARUTO
*hides fit of laughter* I'm not sure whether Japot was serious or not but I give credits for the response either way. Though I'm not so sure whether sunchip would appreciate it ^_^
Anyhoo, I agree with Temari and Shikamaru on the flirting. They're quite the match. I'm not sure really about the coupling of characters but I think it'd be funny to see Jiraiya and Tsunade would be so funny. I can almost imagine a american-based sit-com just on their lovelife. Almost as twisted and funny as Everybody Loves Raymond probably.
And Naruto should just get with Hinata for the girl's sake... he's good for her self esteem.
Story or Art?
Hmm, it's quite interesting hearing everyone's take on the subject. I do agree with many here that said the Shounen style is better than Shouju.
Well, I'd like to hear more from other people but I was also wondering what are some examples of mangas where you guys found that the art was good/awesome but storyline so-so/suck. Or vice versa or both good. That way maybe people *cough*likemyself*cough can get a headsup when reading future magas.
what do you hate in a person?
I find people who assume what others are like without even knowing them are annoying..... this is one trait in myself that I absolutely hate therefore I hate it in others too.
And a few people here said loud mouths.... yeah, that's definitely a pet peeve for me. bah, high schools are practically breeding them out by the hundreds....
What do you look for in a person?
Hmmm.... qualities....
well, personally, I find it hard to 'pin point' the type of friends I would like cause I'm a rather random person. Sometimes I would like a serious talk about life, sometimes I want act like the biggest fool just for a good laugh. So I guess I need either a large variety of friends with different personalities or someone just as random as I am.
B/friend.... damn that's a hard one! I always use to think that as long as he's mature and sensible, that's fine.... but then when I thought of it, it kinda contradicts what I just said about friends.... afterall, a boyfriend should also be your friend too. SO I guess I'll go with humour and awareness of their surroundings. Still, a random person like me would be nice ^_^.
And with spouses.... well, I don't really wanna go there right now lol!
favorite manga authur!
I'm a fan of Kanari Yozaburo (Kindaichi case files). It was the first manga I ever read so I guess it will always have a special place in my heart ^_^.
Though, right now I quite like Kaori Yuki's works. Count Cain and Boy Next Door... *happy sigh*
Angel Sanctuary
Wow thanks! It sounds really good! Twincest.... lol, yeah that is a bit of a scarer, nevertheless, I really like Kaori Yuki's works so I guess I'll have to vernture it....note to self, stop saying stupid things. Thank you so much for the info!!!!
Cynical Age
Actually, I think you made sense! I guess putting religion into it was a silly thing but I feel having faith in anything is hard because of the cynical age.... now that didn't make any sense but it's said so I'll have to deal with it.
I find it very hard to be optimistic as well.... I don't know how others can do it! But thanks for even responding. It's good to hear that there are others that feel somewhat on the same level as me.
Sex & Virginity
Sex, to me, is something that can be treated as something special or as something as a desire.... it just depends on the peopple I guess, or even the mood.
If you're doing it with someone you really like then that's great, it's something special and la di da. Of course it can also be treated as a step for relationships - "the start all and end" all if you get what I mean ;) There's just too many ways to view sex, especially in our modern world.
I just feel that sex should be something enjoyable, not a burden, and as long as both parties are having 'fun' then so be it.
'Sex after marriage' to me is, well, a little unrealistic. Don't get me wrong, I have respect for those who does that but to me, it's almost like having an excuse to marry if you get what I mean. I know religious people are a real pusher, but I'm not so it doesn't matter to me, but virginity is something that should be taken seriously but to an extent.
I don't know about you but virginity is definitely not a 'trend' in high schools. It almost bad to be a virgin. It's as though the whole world (media etc) is pushing both guys and girls to loose their virginty. Of course there are banners tv shows etc that says keep it, but we all know how effective the media can be and the type of things they're showing.
Well, that's my 2 cents in the pile.
Petshop of Horrors
I haven't read it yet but it sounds interesting. How many chapters/volumes altogether are there?
PS3
What are some if its new features? I've heard a lot bout it from friends but they never actually told me about IT if u get what I mean ^_^
Which anime series was the best you have ever seen?
Without a doubt, I have to say Neon Genesis Evangelion. Plot, character development, visual language, songs, EVERYTHING about it really hits you and leaves its mark. It's my ultimate fav.

Saving…
6 years, 6 months ago
My sister had to stay after school for some meeting with her club. I was just wonderng around and it was around 7 o'clock at night. I was bored and began to kick some of the plants in the school's garden. Suddenly one of the groundskeepers yelled from behind. I got so freaked out that I ran straight into a metal fence that was waist high. Completely winded me and I had a mark on my stomach for a few days. :p
