What We Did Today

Greetings,

After over decade running AP we've made the tough decision to suspend normal operation of the site for the near future. Sadly there aren't enough hours in the day and it was time to make a decision on what to spend our efforts on. It's a pivotal time for our other project right now and we do not have the focus, manpower or system resources to run everything we have got right now.

We'd like to thank the community for their support over the past decade. It's been a pleasure.

Pro users may still log in below. We are no longer accepting new registrations.

Best,
AP Staff

Yup, enough of the adaptation, now it's time to get into the business. Although by saying that doesn't mean I've fully adapted to the environment here, especially the weather. Can't be helped anyway, it's January and spring still has a long way to come so the weather is still pretty cold, and it feels like freezing for a person who used to live in a tropical country like me. To overcome this cold temperature, I need to wear several layers of clothing which makes me look almost like a mummy. doh

Well... the first thing we need to do our businesses is transportation but public transportations won't do so we went to a car rental -obviously- to rent a car for our transport during this business trip. I won't mention the name of the rental but I have to admit that they provide a large variety of cars, from subcompacts to supercars, not to mention SUV's and even trucks. I was so excited at the moment we saw their lineups, I saw a few Evo's and Imprezza's in various models, i.e. Evo IV, VI, VII, IX, X and Evo X FQ430, Impreza GC, GD, and GR8. Yes, I saw a 2009 model VXR8 as well that resembles a VXR8 Bathrust Edition and when I asked the rental officer, he said that it IS a Vauxhall VXR8 Bathrust Edition (first time for me to see it in person, btw). I wanted to rent it and drive it so badly but my father said that the car is too poweful for me to handle and it's more like I'm taming a real beast by driving the VXR8, on top of that, he said a very shocking fact which is "You don't have an International Driving License so you can't drive here" emotionlessly.

My brain stopped processing inputs from my five senses for a moment after I heard that.

Since after that point I wouldn't bother the decision making, my father chose a car based on his own logic and as the result, we rent an Astra, a 5-door version.

Can't say that I'm satisfied with this choice but I made promise to myself that once I get back home, I'll definitely trade my car for an HSV Clubsport. I really want to feel the sensation of a big-engined muscle car, especially Australian Muscles.
