Finally, it's all over...

These past few months have been very hectic. After a short vacation in the beautiful province of Cebu and Bohol (where I met up with one of AP's very own, Isteb). Life became a little "toxic" for me, so to speak.

I started my rotation in Trauma Surgery in another hospital. It was utter chaos. For the first time, I was left alone to decide the fate of the patient. Most of the time, I (and the patient) was lucky to have less serious injuries to the liver, bowel, pancreas or spleen after a stab wound or vehicular accident. But there were days which made me really scared. After 3 months there, I began working on my research. I'll spare you from the boring stuff, but it was all about the use of a new "hidden scar" technique in removing the thyroid (no more neck incisions). The paper won third place and gave me a chance to go to Singapore for a big convention. Singapore was a blast, nice place, the rules were stiff but hell, if you manage to make the place look as great as it was, I don't mind the rules.

After SG, it was time to get back to work. More research and more exams meant less time to wall, and I sure miss it. But, now, after months of studying, my biggest exam is finally over and I get to wall again, woohoo!
