It's very often that we tell a "white lie" when we don't want to hurt somebody, but it's still a lie.
We lie to ourselves trying to convincing that's another type of lie, it's still a lie. :S
How many times have you not answer a call 'cuz you didn't want to talk to that person?... or when your parents ask you where you've been all night, and you tell them that in your friend's house? Maybe you're addict to lies... The truth is that we all tell lies, face it. In fact it'd be very wierd if we don't lie. Maybe we would lost a lot of friends, get angry with each other... Would it be a better world without lies?
Maybe it's healthy to lie what do you think?... it's like in our DNA is the lie gen...

I'll answer this question... I don't lie too often. There is no need to in my case, plus I find lies usually end up getting you more in trouble. For one, if someone already knows the truth and you lie to their face without knowing they already know the correct answer, that isn't so good. Another is if you keep lying, you have to remember who you told a lie to and who you didn't, for if they bring back the topic you don't sound dumbfounded because it's a lot easier to remember an experience than remember something you made up on the fly.
People can lie all they want for I care, if they think it will get them farther in life. I guess it all depends on life style, situations, and person you are to determine if you lie a lot or not.

I rarely lie unless it's to avoid getting a person i know in trouble.
I hate lieing.. so i try to never have to lie.. when i lie it's 'cus i don't mean to.. or only if it's for a good reason...

Truth is, I lie about 6 or 7 times a day. I lie because I want to keep things secret, so when the subject comes up, I lie to hide my true thoughts on the subject. I basically lie about my interest in things. For example, I usually tell people that I got this one name I use for a code name "Syaoran Li" from Tsubasa Chronicles, but I actually got it from Card Captor Sakura. If I told people that I see everyday that I like shows like Card Captor Sakura, I would be bullied more than I am now (that's a lot of bullying). So I usually keep myself secret by lieing. So, yes I lie, and I can't really say it's healthy, but it sure does help.

As much as I hate to admit it, I lie to my parents a lot. They're not you're average parents and you'd have to know them to understand, but it keeps me from being beaten to death. x_o So I'd rather that.
I use the lie only if it is needed. It's not good to lie to the others, but I lied not to make a benefit for me, just to make the other don't feel so sad(like xevarage said, "white lie"). I actually hate the lie, but I still can forgive the lie that used for a good things. And I agree with xevarage, the truth is the lie in this world. ^^ We oftenly do a lie and still okay with that, even the person that said that they hate lie(like me) maybe sometimes, unexpectedly oftenly say a lie. ^^

Well, to my memory, I've lied twice within the last year. The first was by accident, the second was because I couldn't think of a twist on the truth quick enough, as far as I know it was the only answer to the question favorable for my situation other than "Do I look like I do?" which I thought of too late.
I try not to lie at all, but that last situation taught me something.

They wouldn't understand because I'm a boy and they will probably think I'm gay. It's not like I care what they think about me, but it sure does make it hard for me.
