An update on a Couple of Categories
I've been getting a few questions about this, so I thought it would be best to make an announcement.
Reguarding the following catagories: Tony Taka, Masumune Shirow, Tsukasa Jun, Yui Toshiki. They have each been deleted. The staff has decided that the material in the sections was going beyond the ecchi level that AP tries to keep, with some of it being outright vulgar. This does not effect catagories such as Ghost in the Shell or Shining Tears. Only the actual catagories for the artist themselves have been deleted. There were too many hentai scans being uploaded to the queue in a couple of this catagories, so we decided it would be best to do away with them.
So, please do not request them, because your request will be rejected. Before you request a catagory, ask yourself..."is this a hentai artist/anime/game?" because if it is, it will not be approved. Ecchi is okay, but outright hentai is not, even if the images you were planning on uploading aren't hentai.

Does this apply to shuffle...
the anime, because its based off of a hentai game... but the anime itself is ecchi
so some of the scans could be from the game...

I doubt it, many anime nowadays are based off of hentai games, so this would mean the erradication of many great galleries suchs as Tsukihime. Anyway, I haven't seen any material of a hentai/pornographic nature but if their presence was so abundant then I guess the drastic measure was necessary.
I still disagree with the elimination of Tony's gallery, as he is a decent artist, with decent beauty to the artwork, plus a lot of his work are more to normal works. I believe more so than not, artists like Aoi Nishimata (who collabs with Hiro Suzuhira in producing Shuffle!) is also the same, if you judge that Tony Taka's works are too explicit.
Because generally, all the artists are hentai artists one way or another, directly or indirectly.
Of course, since you mentioned only a few names, Tony Taka and Shirow Masamune, Tsukasa Jun, Yui Toshiki, I assume you are limiting to these few.
I believe the non hentai ones should stay at the least, this is not a reasonable move considering how popular their works are as well as the nature of the piece in question.
Shirow Masamune however...should be done away, this I ABSOLUTELY support for the sake of great justice. Those wet butts and pantiless drawings of his should be taken somewhere else.

Rebelshadowrm - no, it does not. but hentai images are still not allowed to be uploaded.
omnidevil - here may be more artists we dispose of to come. and i agree, taka can draw, and he does so well, but go to his website and tell me what you see. it's almost entirely hentai under those little black box links. plus, as i was going through scans, there were A LOT of hentai scans that were poping up. originally tony taka was never supposed to be added, but when i was no longer staff, the job of approving catagories was moved to someone else who wasn't aware of that. he and shirow should have never been added. as for tsukasa jun, his stuff was like hentai range mmurata which there was no need for, and yui toshiki, well, his stuff was really ecchi and also the man just can't draw. as i clean through the galleries, there may be more added to this list.
popularity didn't make the decision here. content did. games taka works on can be added, but he as an artist, theres no need for it.
granted there are many artists that draw hentai...but the above mentioned artists have an abundance of it. thats why they were deleted.

It's not one hentai scan. It's many hentai scans.
Kalico mentioned "ARTIST" not anime titles or manga titles.
As for Tsukasa Jun, I can't see him as anything more than a Range Murata copycat. This part is my personal opinion only.

Ahh..i was wondering where the Tony Taka catagory went...thanks for clearing that up but i also agree with Omnidevil, i dont see what is so explict or inappropriate with that section... maybe AP can simply sift through the hentai pics?

Seems a shame that a handful of more ecchi pics in a gallery results in the deletion of that entire gallery, but there you go, I guess.
I do tend to fear where this sort of thing will actually stop, though...

What about hentai animes like Love Hina?
Yes. And we are gonna delete that and all other hentai animes like Mahou Sensei Negima, Bleach, Gundam Seed, Naruto, Pokemon, Vandread, Yumeria, Dragonball Z, Initial D, etc.hi-mizuwhat about hentai animes like Love Hina?
What about the gallery of Satoshi Urushihara?
Most of his pics are with naked girls.

Personally, I'd pretty much love to see Satoshi gone. His "alternative" drawings of the same image is totally tasteless.

It is not a matter of ecchi pics I am worry about, is more like how does this work you get what I mean? I mean ok, I (lets pretend I am the staff) I approve of works by the artist but dissaprove of the works of the artist. (does that make sense?) Of course, I meant to say that you have a gallery there anyway, there isn't much point in saying I do not want to have an artist that draws hentai in my galleries.
Of course, you are generally correct that all the artists stated at hand have a tendency to draw hentai, and hence I must agree with this move if it was a countermeasure in controlling the flood of gallery items for the artist's category.
I just hope it is not too extreme however, a full list of artists after the clean up would be some nice detail if you guys decide to show it.

Ghost in the shell won't be going anywhere...for the millionth time.
basically, i was getting a sick amount of hentai images, from a variety of users in tony taka. personally, i like his style. he's ecchi, yes, but he can still draw. but when theres such a flood of hentai scans for a particular artist, it's time for him to go. it's not fair to make me, as well as the other staff, look at excplicit tentacle rape images from shirow, and hardcore hentai from taka while we try and approve scans.
my decision is now based on the first group ofimages i see when i look up an artist in google whether their catagory gets approved or not. if i go to their personal website, and i'm slammed with hentai, he's going to be denied.
i have no problem with ecchi. hell, i'm a girl and whenever i draw a female character, she's sexy. no panty shots mind you, but she has a larger chest, sexy clothes, etc. so thats not my beef with those guys.
understand the initial goal of animepaper is for anime and manga wallpapers to begin with. not artist wallpapers. the artists catagories have gotten out of hand period. but so long as they're clean, or just a bit ecchi, it's okay. beyond that is not.
