That kitty has a beer, I enjoy this.
V6. Have been expecting it quite sometime. Wonder if it have archives for users to store artworks on? Have been looking forward to it.
Version 6 sounds great but, I'm still a little confused about the importance of clearing ones DNS cache.
Could someone give me a quick explanation what difference that will make when surfing Version 6 other then speed??

DNS is used to resolve a domain name (animepaper.net) to an IP address (currently 67.202.99.53). To speed up your internet experience, your system caches the results of DNS queries rather than consults a DNS server with a DNS lookup every time one is required. The downside of this though is that it relies on an assumption that the IP address for a given domain will not change.
To minimise downtime, I assume Bantam intends to have the front end server for animepaper v6 up and running simultaneously with animepaper v5. V6 will be made live simply by a change to DNS records to point the domain name animepaper.net to the V6 server's IP. What this means is that if a particular user were to attempt to browse to animepaper after the changeover and they had cached DNS entries for the site, they would not be directed to the correct server for front end content and would not see the changes made. Worse still, if any of the subdomains used to serve content change in their role for the new version, requests for content from these servers may fail resulting in a broken mess until the cache is cleared either manually or naturally.

Kath is almost right, however v5 and v6 are both on the new server, we're proxying v5 through apache on lighttpd howver v6 uses lighttpd directly with fastcgi, it's just a switch of a configuration file to swap it over when the time is right. The DNS change requested here is because the old server is seriously slow compared to the new one, if you like speed you should clear your cache, however the TTL on our dns changes is pretty low so you'll probably be on the new one already unless your ISP's dns has a large retention time.
I love it when kath talks tech!

Thanks for the info! That's the kind of information I was hopeful for!
