This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

To clarify for you paranoid people:

Zonealarm + AnimePaper = No images

Zone alarm does not allow you to send out refer information to AnimePaper therefore the server considers you a leecher trying to circumvent our system. Please take into account when using Zone alarm that hackers dont really care about something as obscure as your system therefore software firewalls are pointless.

Edit: Perhaps they are not pointless, but if you are going to pick a software firewall, choose something other than Zone alarm if you want to browse AP.

I personally recommend browsing the internet behind a properly configured router if you want decent protection.

People's lack of a firewall is one of the major contributors to the whole explosion of botnets and the DDOS havoc that they wreak. Surfing the web without a firewall is like having sex without a condom - you'll probably be alright most of the time, but it's odds on you're going to go somewhere nasty eventually.

Saying that, though, zonealarm is a bit crap unless you know how to set it up properly.

I'm using Zone Alarm free version and it doesn't affect my viewing of AP.

Emphasis on 'properly configured' - regardless whether you use a router or a personal firewall ^_^

Norton needs to die. Anyways, I'm using zonealarm and i don't have problems viewing images currently. Althought, there is an occasional time, thats when i open opera and view animepaper through taht instead of firefox.

ZAP works just fine for me... If anyone does come across a problem, I'd suggest setting up a rule just for the site and allowing it 3rd party access

If you have a router with security a personal firewall is pretty much redundant.

All security is redundant... until someone has a pop at you. Multiple layers of defence are generally a very effective way of discouraging any sort of attack, but will probably never come into play.

Soft targets (Ie no defence at all) will always be a more favourable choice for any hacker/script kiddy when compared to someone with loads of layers of defence. I speak from expereince - when I first got a PC I got compromised, then I invested in a variety of defences and I've not had even a sniff of a problem. Nobody likes hard work :/.

Usually you don't have a software firewall for keeping the baddies coming in but prevent them to dial out, well atleast I do <g>
Imho it's madness to put a windows box without a router on the net..

As test I placed a honeypot machine outside our DMZ and it took under 15 minutes for it to be dossed or exploited.
