Hey, I was working on this wallpaper of Sakura, and when I finished I wasn't really satisfied with it. It seems too plain. (Actually, it sucks.) Any ideas you guys have would be wonderful, thank you!

the problems people normally have don't seem to occur here: the extraction's fine, the bg looks great. great use of texture and brush [wayyyy better than what i'll ever do] and i like it. only thing is that it seems too pink for my liking, but i'm sure all the pink freaks out there [like my best friend's boyfriend] will go bonkers over it.lol.

I agree with momo-x...and the pic of sakura looks like a lil bit of dark....[I think]...well that's all I can say 'bout it...I don't know if it helped...but I hope it would...hehehe....GOOD LUCK THERE!!

Well I kind of see what you mean by plain... I mean... it's like tones of walls on AP... It's nice sure it is... But there is not much originality in this... It's a nice scan on a pretty cool background... But that's about it..

About more technical stuff I would say that the scan looks a bit blurry... I mean cause of the colors that looks like they are going on the outlines... I can't really explain it but it's a strange feeling of blurriness when I look at it.

The background, as said before, is really cool looking but well... I don't see any connection to Sasukra... She's not really a pink lady if you see what I mean... She's not the Barbie style so for me a pink background isn't really going with the style of the character... But of course it's fitting the style of this particular scan...

The font isn't really working well in my mind...

And I don't really understand the text part in the upper right corner... What does it have to do with the wall?

I know this can sound a bit hard but I try to help you get this a more original and interesting look :)

I actually don't mind the pink that much, because it's not your normal pink but a pink that's on the subtler redder side of things, so it doesn't burn your eyes that much if you are not a huge pink fan.

the color issue aside, i've got to ask why that background for sakura? okay, sakura the flower is pink...but why everything else? the blending is quite well done but the bg should be relevant to your foreground. like i have told many other people: all elements of your wallpaper must be unified and must come together to tell a kind of story/give a message of some sort. something in the bg should reflect a part of sakura...for example, her personality, her personal effects etc. these might not be the best suggestions i've given for a link between her and the bg, but i'm sure you can come up with something fitting. =]

lastly, i don't mind the font as much as the color. the black just doesn't quite work. heck, black isn't even a color. so if you are going to keep the pink/magenta thing going, why not change it to a dark shade of red or something?
