Do your parents read manga?
They know what manga is and read a few but that is about it. What about you? Do your parents or anyone you know who seems kind of old read manga?
No, and I don't think that one day they will read only one of them... they really can't understand why I love it, for them manga are just a kind of comic, and comics HAVE TO be targeted for the brat, that all... and when I try to explain them that manga are not like that, they say me that manga are just books with violence and sex...
in fact that's not that they CAN'T understand what are manga, but they WON'T to understand it...

Lol... when I went to Hong Kong I bought the entire Houshin Engi series and took it with me on the plane back. We didn't have much to do on the plane so my dad picked them up and started reading... and ended up finishing them quicker than me! My mum's totally not interested though. She's not into anything that's not strictly realistic, which means she doesn't like cartoons, manga/anime, fantasy/sci-fi etc...

My parents don't read manga. They say the print is to small and is bad for their (and my ^^;) eyes. Either that or they're "busy".

My mom conviced me to read manga! She said its good for me, since its in japanese, theres a lot of kanji that it teaches me she saids... ^_^; So basically shes saying "read manga! Its good for you!" Woohoo! She said no english manga though, since it doesn't help with my japanese... But drawing is different, she thinks drawing manga is a waste of time unless I'm learning japanese from it!

My parents...they don't even know what the hell manga is in the first place.... I don't really talk to them about the stuff I like.... but then again, I recieved a hell lot of stuff I like this year for christmas! (all relevant to anime and manga!) They finally know what I want!
