Background ideas, anyone?

Someone asked me to make a wallpaper with this image

Unfortunately I have no ideas for a background. Well, I do have one, dhias suggested an indoor setting of a traditional japanese house/dojo. That's the only idea I currently have, and I would appreciate more suggestions. :)

The idea you have is great! maybe add some light grunge to your idea and it should look nice in my opinion :)

Yea I'm gonna have to say that I agree with the idea that dhias gave you. To me that's the only place that scan will look good. Just make sure that if you do make it that way to make it seem dark, I don't think there's any way for that scan to be in a light atmosphere =/
It would obviously have to be night time in the image. Maybe have some rays of light shining through a window onto the floor or somemthing. Just some peaceful night kind of scene but like Acrisius said, make sure it's not too dark.

I'm pretty sure you will do an awsome job on it. You seem to be really good on doing backgrounds.
