Looks pretty good. You've got the shading right, and in the right places (though maybe it could go up on her face some more?) and everything looks clean except one small spot on the robot's right eye to me. However, having a round spotlight type thing coming from a square window? You should probably change that to a square and possibly add in the shadow of the panes too.
Yey~...thanks for noticing...weeeeeee~

Near. and cute. i always thought they didn't go together xD but anyway, there are a couple of things i should point out for you.
i think you used the lighting filter on near...or something to achieve that gradient-towards-grayness effect. it looks a little odd. darken/add shadows if you can to make him look shaded, but doing it that way always makes the image flat for me. =/
another thing with lighting is that near's shadow is right under him. instead of being stretched off to one side. his shadow can only be so short and directly underneath him if the light source is right above him. but here, it is actually off to the side. so you'll have to shift/change the shadow according to the slant of the light. ;]
and the last thing is that...don't you find it a bit weird that your big beam of light starts around the frames of the window rather than the panes? (because there shouldn't be any light coming from the solid frames.) and also, isn't it a bit strange too that the crossing wooden bars of the frame doesn't cast a shadow? always pay attention to this kind of detail. even if it is a cute/simple wall, these details should still make sense. i know that it will make things a bit more complicated, but i think it's worth fixing.
ah, but death note ftw x3 nice work so far.
