What has been your biggest dissapointment in anime?
We've all had some dissapointments with anime sometimes. Series, OVAs or movies that promised to be amazing or had huge potential end up being a total letdown, or what's worst, they're actually good till something happens that makes them go down the drain. Whether they become boring, predictable, stupid or just plain bad, this is something that always pisses you off. In my case, the biggest disspointments in anime I've had were with Tsukihime (I honestly expected a LOT more from this), Izumo (A little bit better than tsukihime, but still had potential to be much more) and the worse of all, Crescent love (Pretty good, comes final chapter, WTF, nuff said).
There was this one anime Samurai:hunt for the sword , it had a ood story line , but it was drwan as if its done by a tutorial and thats not how it should be, it was very disapointing . they also tended to rush the story
I was disappointed with the Furuba Anime, but my gripe is not with the story or production value it has more to do with the fact that it was cut short and didnt follow the manga further.
p.s. on a side note I heard rumors that Funimation is trying to adopt a second season of Fruits Basket.

I thought Ergo Proxy was going to develop their story a little more, but they went off on really odd tangents and it seems like they ran out of time then just ended. I enjoyed the last episode, but I really think they could have spent less time on some things and more time on others.
Also on Venus Verses Virus, the ending was a little too abrupt. But that's more of a taste issue, and in some ways I did like the ending.
I guess the main disappointment in anime, that I have, is that shows quite often move to unbelievable situations even for the worlds that their creators have developed. Excel Saga parodies these situations really well.

I was very disappointed with the end of Mahoromatic, it was a great anime but the end sucks in my point of view.
Mm, I was dissapointed with the ending of Kare Kano. It was building up to a great ending, but...Oh, I don't want to ruin it for anyone that hasn't seen it. It really is a great series. (Ah, I still remember when we saw that last episode in my Anime Club...)

Because he got what he deserved, and because of what his Shinigami said in the very beginning of the series.
Mai Hime Movie,IT WAS A JOKE made by Sunrise. It look so exciting and yet it didn't happen.
Another thing is Archer's death in Fate Stay Night. The episode he looks the coolest is the episode he died in.

Proabablly the biggest dissapointment (for me) in anime is probablly the animation.
Sometimes the characters seems out of shape. Or in other cases the animation is so bad it looks like they are running backwards.
Don't get me wrong. This is just my opinion. I don't really have anything againsts animators. They are just doing their job after all :D

Mai Hime is one of the anime that disappoint me that most...the story line is ok however the way to as they make it is really silly.also the way it is show it is very strange and does not get grab attention from me at all.. Also the anime Princess Princess is a really nice anime but yet the ending is slightly too simple...they should create some interesting scene or something...otherwise Princess Princess is a really nice anime and i recommand all to watch..as for mai hime, i really recomand you NOT to watch it as i find it as the worst anime i have seen and it seriously wasted my time...
I have had many disappointments in anime.
Mahoromatic end its like WTF!!, "Is this Mahoromatic?, Wheres the payopayo-ness?"
AIR, WTF
And, GONZO my favorite studio, has two kind of shows, really ass-kicking excelent animes, and superfecal ones...
Samurai Girl, I didnt even finished it..
And just recently I saw a trio+1 of GONZO "supposedly" masterpieces, and neither one of them, was worth my time:
Basilisk (I dont buy superpowers anymore)
Solty Rei (mmmm, plotless..)
Speed Grapher (so this is a good mature anime because of nudity and corruption?, and wahts with the production values of some episodes? Real crap animation)
Trinity Blood (I dont buy stupid/serious characters like Vash or NightRoad, cool name although)
