What has been your biggest dissapointment in anime?

Maybe it is when I found I can guess what is going on next, It would be very boring and make me feel disappointed with that anime
A major dissapointment for me is that one piece is so underated and not alot of people actually know how good it is, it goes beyond anime, it's truly a masterpiece like no other series ever created

My biggest deception with a series was Death Note the history it is very slow and boring.

Fate/Stay Night, sorry to the fans of Fate/Stay, I was actually hoping for a better anime, but it actually let me down. Though I do love the animation!

Definately : a "sucky" ending
i mean...i've watched loads of animes which are good, got boring in the middle perhaps but most of em somehow make a comback and are really good again. But some anime are SO good all the way, maybe went down a bit in the middle but then the ending is SO S**T you are like...WTF?!!?!? (first thing in mind: OH GOD i hope Code Geass does not turn out that way <-- best anime EVER)
i wont be listing animes (since its not recommendable) but as i said...the ending...you just destroy the whole anime with it. I mean, the opening could be s**t or even the middle is so boring...but if all turns out well, then its cool.

The Tenjou Tenge anime definatly, it could be a very nice if they followed the manga and didnt put that stupid ending
I completly agree with Eternalspirit naruto started out cool... but then it became like soo lame =( sadly i have put it with the yu gi oh and pokemon/ digimon grouping of anime...
Gantz and Death Note are major disappointments for me. Both manga author's seemed to have given up after half way through and both had interesting stories in the beginning.

I hate the ending the gave X anime.
I know they had to make something up for the manga had not been finished than (okay, it still hasn't been finished, but whatever). But that was so lame! They simplified a complex story too much. They forsook all that 'caring about the Earth' school of though that was there. And at least in my point of view, that was of utmost importance. (That is one of the characteristics that made X so different, this worry about the Planet.)
And that ending was so HUSHED and so lame... >_<

Dissapointments, like what are yo ulooking for...Sorry to say it is your falt if it is a dissapointment. It is called go on the internet and see what it will be like by talking to others, go to sites and read what it is about. If you cant do that then I have no idea. I have naver had a dissapointment in a anime...I always bye and get what I will like and will like for along time to come, like my whole life...
Actually, I almost never talk with people about the possible outcomes of the anime I watch precisely to avoid any dissapointments, but I agree with you when you say we're the responsible ones. What we see as dissapointment comes from our own point of view and tastes, so what can be a dissapointment for one person can be amazing for another. By the way, how do you know what you'll like even before watching it? Even for someone with well defined preferences, it's almost impossible to know if the anime will have exactly what you're looking for. You judge it based on the first couple episodes or something like that?

I was very disappointed with the end of Mahoromatic, it was a great anime but the end sucks in my point of view.
