This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Razer, in my opinion they make the best mouses/mice (However you would spell it) available today. Just finally picked up their newest mouse the DeathAdder today and have to say it is better than anything I have ever owned, which includes the G7, G5, and even the Razer Copperhead and Daimondback. You have to get used to the design of their mice but once you do you will never game with anything else. They have just what you need on them and don't give you a crapload of useless buttons. I'm not into the mice where you get 10 buttons and then end up only using 3 *cough* Logitech *cough*.

I hear they have great mousepads as well, although I don't use mousepads so I have no interest in getting one.

Right now I am eying their Tarantula Keyboard, oh so pretty.

Anyone else out there own any Razer products? Opinions on them?

If you are looking for a great gaming mouse forget about Logitech/Microsoft (unless of course it was made by microsoft and razer) and go with a Razer. You won't be disappointed.

Ah, when you mention the Tarantula Keyboard it brings back memories from DreamHack WInter -06. There was a contest held were you where to smash a keyboard in the most amusing way. And first price was just this Tarantula keyboard.

Anyway, enough of my remenicing (spelling?) about the past. Razer seems too hardcore for me seeing as I only play WC3 occasionally. I think Ill stick with my Logitech mouse and keyboard.

And if you intressted in a video of the contest Ill post a link below:

I have a Microsoft Habu Laser mouse. I absolutely love it. MS was right in collaborating with Razer to design it. The Habu is far more accurate and sensitive then my old MS Intelliexplorer mouse and that honestly makes a difference when it comes to FPS games.

My only gripe is that the Razer software doesn't have built in commands like Minimize or Close for the buttons, but they have Back, Forward and junk like that. Instead they want you to create a macro for that and it doesn't quite work right. ALT+F4 for Close will randomly close 2-3 windows at times. I'd also love for a way to Macro the Windows key so I could map something like Flip3D to a thumb button for when I'm not in game.

Right now I'm waiting on Microsoft's new Reclusa keyboard. Again it's powered by Razer. I'm fairly picky about my keyboard layouts and right now the only other keyboard I would consider is the Logitech G15. However, I'm not a fan of Logitech's drivers and I don't quite like the macro key setup on the left side. I like the layout on the Reclusa more. G15 does allow more macros but that doesn't really bother me.

Personally, I don't too like Razer. For me, Razer's design isn't too good, especially when it's compared with G series of Logitech. I even prefer MobileGear's mouse better than Razer, because it has a complete buttons such as forward and back buttons for a better browsing and exploring. ^^ And the second thing is it's price. A Copperhead costs approx $100 and my mouse is only $300 and I think both is same in quality. ^^ The only products of Razer that I love is it's ExactMat, that mouse pad is so comfortable for me. ^^

I love Razer products, the design, the functionality... Though, I personally find their mice less comfortable than the Logitech MX518/G5/G7. That's why I prefer those. I do have a Razer eXactMat, which is totally awesome as Exile said. Other Razer gear is pretty cool too, but it's also very expensive.

Wow...I stand corrected. There was a new set of Firmware and Software for the Habu posted on May 23.

Close is now an advanced option for button mapping and they added a Window Changing function. It's only ALT+TAB, I'd prefer Windows Key + Tab but beggars can't be choosy.

Razer FTW!

Meh. I've typed on laptop keyboards that were nicer than the Tarantula; I prefer keyboards with a long keystroke and high tactile feedback. Haven't used any of their laser mice, however the 2000dpi one uses the same "laser engine" as the G5/7 (and virtually every other high-performance laser mouse of the same generation); not sure what you mean by Logitech having a lot of useless buttons either, considering Razer seems to like putting buttons on both sides of their mice.

To each his own. This thread seems like more of an ad than anything though.

Finally got my hands on a Microsoft Reclusa today. I must say it is badass. Razer definitely knows how to write solid drivers and software. Writing macros for my games is a cake walk and the auto-profile switching all works perfectly.

Only gripe I could think of is that it doesn't allow as many game profiles as the G15 does but that doesn't bother me in the least.

I have this one of the Razer Copperhead

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153107

the side buttons are actually quite useful. it doesn't make life harder, because it actually adds more functionality such as the ability to go back or forward in firefox or your windows folders. Instead of having to move to click the back button all you do is use your thumb and your back to the previous webpage.

the buttons to the right of the mouse is kinda handy if you play first person shooters. Anyone play Day of Defeat?
If you do, you should know how the rocket launcher, while it's armed reduces your sensitivity by a lot. If you have a razer all you do is kick up the on the fly sensitivity and you'll be whooping people's ass with a rocket launcher :P

I chose the Copperhead over the G5 because I like the feel better. And one thing that bugs me about the G5 is the weak right click spring, I always accidentally click it just from my finger resting on it. As far as that goes, its all preference.

I recently just got myself a microsoft habu mouse, fantastic! We know microsoft makes good peripherals, a collaboration with razer to produce a professional gaming device is really a milestone.

I've read some review sites, they say that the microsoft habu is much better than the razer copperhead although both of them do us the same firmware, in my opinion its even much more comfortable and senstivie (2000dpi, 1000hz). Although I'm seriously doubtful that suchn high precision would even be needed for a moderate gamer like me, but the comfort is still unparalleled.

By the way, I'm looking for a good keyboard as well, but i heard that the razer tarantula has some issues. A promiment one that has been bogging me is the inability of the user to press seven keys at ocne, which is quite a letdown, since theres a gmae i play that requires all seven keys be actively pressed at the same time... so any suggestions?

There are very few keyboards that support that many key presses, as most use a matrix (causes ghosting or blocking). Which also means that some key combinations will fail before others.
PS/2 keyboards can often support more simultaneous key presses than USB ones which are generally more limited.

The ZBoard allows for 8 simultaneous key presses.
I'd heard that the Tarantula can support 10 though.

I have an I-PAC4 (USB+PS/2) keyboard interface board that supports 56 simultaneous key presses though. This won't be of much use to you though.

Awesome mouse, makes playing those FPS much more fun. I love Razer peripherals so much i had to get the Barracuda headphones. Going to LANS is so much fun...especially when I get to whoop my friends butt =P
