This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Alright, face it, the Valentines part about how people give chocs on this day to girls and awaiting till next month to get the gift from the girl is by far, a stupid trend. You know it, I know it.

The origin was a bloody show or something of the sort that was popular at the time over the TV on how a romantic drama was induced over a young couple or something and in between, somehow the show has got everyone going for the ritualistic give choc on feb 14th thing.

I mean, this is sad, no joke, the Valentines affair, its meaning, it is just sad.
- One, you don't need Valentines day to say to someone you care, I LOVE YOU YES I DO ... ONLY TODAY
- You don't need to give gifts. chocolates and all that jazz was old school.
- if you must wait till this day to show off how much you loved her, you suck hard.
- Valentines day was not even supposed to be a Novelty Item like this nowadays.
- Roses costs an additional Ten this time of the year.
- You are contributing to a commercial trend that will end up fattening feminists who think you use them for sex.
- You are contributing to a social problem of impulsive celebrating disorder.

During class break, I saw a kid (I estimate him to be around 16 to 18 years old) buying a HUGE bouquet of roses. My guess that it is going to cost him over RM100.00.

Seriously parents are spoiling their kids too much with generous allowances. Sheesh...

Ah well...got pok?

Lol you really don't like valentines day do you I aggree its turning to commercial just like almost every holiday but I don't see anything wrong with celebrating love sometimes people get busy with every day life and take one another for granted so valentines day is a nice reminder that we should take time out to say I love you more and show it.I do think it should be more for saying I love you and showing how grateful you are to all your loved ones and not so much just couples, but I get that they gear it towards couples because of the story of Saint Valentine.

Valentines Day is pointless. Giving your girlfriend special treatment one day out of a year isn't doing jack--you should give your girl special treatment every day, or as often as you can.

Yes, agreed. Or boyfriend.

Also, too must superficiality on V-day.
Like at my school, you can send roses (organized by student council.), it's a sweet idea, but it quickly turns sour. Now, I hear girls going "Haha! I got one, you didn't!" and "Buy me a rose! I want someone to love me!"

*sigh* V-day is now materialistic... (well, where I am it is...) V_V

Actually- Valentine's Day has many origins that have nothing to do with cards and chocolate. From the Roman Catholic church to Chaucer to Roman fertility festivals.

I agree that here in the US and probably elseware that it is a "Hallmark" holiday. But I still celebrate it. Kind of hard not to. My girlfriend and I always celebrate it even though we think it is a stupid holiday. We have many celebrations of our love all year so I don't suppose either of us feels forced.

Pretty much all this day is is a kick to the nuts to all of us who don't have anyone on this day! And who cares! Being single is awesome! No money spent on gifts! No plans to be made! Complete an utter freedom! Enjoy it people!

P.S. I wonder if this girl I like will like the chocolates I got her. Wish me luck! = P

But its tradition guys! Heck, worshiping some white bearded, old fat dude who wears red and rides on a sleigh sounds even dumber than practicing valentines. I know its plenty stupid to just be able to confess feelings for each other for just one day in the whole year, but thats exactly the point of it all: it becomes more romantic because it follows tradition. What I consistently b*tch about is how a lot of people have very little imagination in celebrating the event: chocolates, flowers, dinner date. The last time I actually celebrated valentines with someone was on a picnic, right smack in the middle of college grounds (there's a garden in the middle) and we were the only ones doing it and it was fun. Now I don't even have time to celebrate it, but if I did I'd likely think of something different and exclusive.

edit: like a traditional wicker basket ballon ride.

Hmm...yes, well, you do have a good point there, Omni. It is not necessary to wait for V-day to come, just so you can express your love to your loved one(s!!) (<---In some cases, thats true for just one person!! XD)

And also, V-day has gained most of it's popularity largely due to commercial stuff/reasons...

But even though, i think this day should be celebrated....
Love can be celebrated at any day, at any time...But i don't think people do celebrate their love everyday, or even once a week. (I am talking about the majority) But V-day is a day dedicated just for this purpose. So, it's like a reminder. *Checks his Blackberry......Oh Crap!! Today is V-day! Gotta buy some stuff for my GF!! Can't be late now!!*

In todays times, it can become quite difficult to set aside some time just for that special someone...But on V-day, it's like something you have to do. You must spend as much time as possible with your loved one etc...etc..

There is a very high probability that most people will celebrate and/or express their love to their loved one(s) on this day, much more than they do it on any other day...

Therefore, V-day is something that must always be there on the calendar, on the 14th of Feb, every year. And as far as the commercialization is concerned, well, those guys will commercialize practically everything they can. It's nothing personal, it's just business! They have to earn, and almost all celebration days can get them some quick money. *We got some moolah, y'll!!*

I mean, even Christmas, New Years, Diwali(A very popular Indian fest) and all other fests/celebrations made around the world over...All these fests/celebrations have been made commercial, in some or the other way. There is more money involved in these fests than the spirit of the fest itself!!

But it does not mean that now we have to stop celebrating the fest, now, does it??

And some people find V-day crappy just because they don't have anyone to share it with. Well, i think that is not right, i mean, it's not the day's fault that you don't have a GF/BF!! :P C'mon!!

I am 17, i don't have a real life GF!!(But i do have an Anime GF! YAY!!^_^) But i love V-day! It's a day of celebrating love. One of the most important things in this world!!
V-day FTW!! ^_^

Can't you see?? Love is in the air!! Just look around.....

Oh!! And btw...

Dias, the customer asking for pok!!
Ah well...got pok?

Why are you disturbing me?!?! I tell you AP house does not sell pok!! NO POK!! ONE MORE TIME YOU ORDER POK AND I CALL THE POLICE!! I TELL YOU!! XD XD XD

Hilarious vid, man!! Thanks!! XD

Anyways.....

Celebrate the day of celebrating love with the one you love!! It's not necessary to have a real life, living, breathing, GF/BF! (Although, it would be very good!!) It's a day of celebrating love, not your GF/BF!! There is always something that is dear to you, something that you love. So, there is your reason to celebrate it. Celebrating and being grateful to life, for giving you such a wonderful thing.

Have an awesome V-day everyone!! Always enjoy and be happy! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!! :)

Warmest regards,
The Firestorm

*Laughing his ass off* Good luck!

That's why this stupid holiday exists. Even if you don't believe all the valentines crap, chances are that your partner does and if you don't do something for them they'll feel like you forgot them/ don't care. Most of us are simply chained to conformity.

Anyway, my policy is to treat my girl like a goddess all the time, but I have to admit that valentines day gives me an excuse to do something really special that I simply couldn't do every day. I still don't buy into the commercialism, though. You will probably never find me doing something like buying roses and chocolates. It's too boring and shows no originality, imagination, or any other form of thought put into her gift (as far as I'm concerned)

Maybe, it almost same as my opinion. ^^ I don't too like Valentine, I think this lovely day for the other people just wasting my money. The love usually expressed every time, not only that time. ^^ Think about it, you can express your love every day in the year, not only the valentine day. ^^

Hmm... Well, the guys in my year got dressed up in red boxes and the girls in red dresses and did some singing telegrams and sent flowers to classes to raise money for charity. At lunch they did love-song dedications and everyone was dancing in the quadrangle. Although Valentine's Day is an obvious day to make anyone who owns a newsagency, sweet shop or florist to make money, I like to think there's positive in the whole thing. People don't rip on Xmas in the same way. Why? Because Xmas celebrates (obviously not from a highly Christian P.O.V.) 'giving' and family and stuff that people consider important. One could argue you can do that any day of the year too. But they don't because it's religious, sacred and traditional.

Exactly. I don't really have anyone I can appreciate on V-day, but I feel that if I did I'd like to take the time to make them feel extra special, just as a bonding thing XD Besides, it's so easy to neglect the things you take for granted with such hectic lives. There's no way you can forget on V-day XD
