Eh, its not TERRIBLE but it looks as if you just started with a FF7 image then slapped brushes on top of it. That won't pass submission. You need to try and be a bit more creative with your works - a brush frame just isn't going to cut it.
Hey it looks good. It doesn't look bad. At least you got one done more then I can say for me. It's a great start though! When you get even better I'll be sure to check it out! ^_^
Good effort, but the brush work still need more improvements. colour wise is a problem too, they do not blend well with the scan, same as the migard bg. and i think the colours on the scan looks dull, try adding some lighting effects to it.

If most of the images there is the scan then you need to do some extraction and make your own bg.
