My 1st wallpaper
Ok, heres my 1st wallpaper (well, technically ive made more, but this is my first here :P Anyways, its Sasuke from Naruto, right before he uses Chidori. Ive had the image and wanted to do something with it for a while. I tried to do a real bg, but totally screwed it up, so I chose for a more vectorized bg. Is it too crazy? Simple? Any and all (constructive) comments welcome.

I definatly like the background, it's gotta be the best thing about the wall. What I don't like is the image though. Do you know how to vector? If you do, than I definatly think you should vector the Sasuke image. If you did, it would match a whole lot better with the image and make it look like one, that's what you should be going for. Try not to seperate the image from the wall too much-we want it to be in the same wallpaper, don't make it look like it came from another one. The text could also use some work, try using more than one font. For example, maybe "the" and "of" could be a really simple and default font while "color" and "rage" could be a more compliacted font and the style could look really complex and grungy.

Yeah, I vectorized it, but in a weird way. I left some parts like the original, so it would look darker (the face for instance), that and on my comp it looks really crisp, but any higher quality, and photobucket resized it :p but thanks for the comment.

You shouldn't have left any parts as the original, it looks too blurry and you can tell it's a screenshot. If you DO vectorize it, and you don't want it look so crisp like a vector, than you can always just Dublicate the vector, do a Gaussian Blur, and set it another setting such as Overlay. It will make it look less crisp.

Ya, imageshack is the better. gives you so many different ways of posting your link (best is the url or 'forums1').
i'm really liking your wp, it's neat. i'm with inuspal about the vector though, mixing the styles like that isn't that great. too many blurry parts (noticable around the eyes and other places). i would say all vector.
the bg is really nice. maybe add another texture on it though. find a nice stock photo or texture. put it overtop and play around with the blending options and opacity. could look nice or it could make it look bad, you'd have to try and see what it looks like.
it's pretty good now but could use some tweaks. looking forward to your update ;)

heres the image with the good resolution. It looks a little better :P (compare it to the last one, youll see how imageshack is better quality than photobucket) But I cant vector the face and some of the shadows on the arms, because of all of the lines. If i remove them then it looks weird, if I try to vector them then they are weird as well. If its too much of a problem then I guess ill have to revector. Does it still need the vector treatment? Id really rather not do it (again), but if it still looks bad I will

Alright, heres try #2, with the face cleaned up and such. Any better at all? If not, then I know what the problem is and I can fix it, but itll take me forever. T-T Plus I changed the text to how Inuspal suggested (at least thats what I thought he was saying)

You definitely need to finish the character vector.. it looks incomplete as is, and there is a big quality difference between him and the background. Just start from scratch and use the original image as a reference.. you'll learn a lot in the process and improve tremendously, I guarantee it. As for the BG, the bottom black bar has to go.. you probably placed it there since the original image was cut off, but its really distracting and certaintly out of place. You did do a nice job of portraying rage, though, I can definitely feel the ANGER. x)

I would find a close up shot of sasuke with his sharingan at that point. Use that for reference and clean up his eyes.
