Lol, i made this such a long time ago that the thread has been locked ;P i would say that it had quite the overhaul. changed the bg and i had to re-extract the image (back when i made this i didn't know about saving it as something besides jpeg, so dumb...). the wall is full enough that i decided to have no text.

I prefer a lot the 2nd version you made
Just one things seems out of place : the orange-ish exploding planet doesn't fit imo with the colors scheme you used for the bg
I think you should also modify the greenish planet color a bit to fit a bit more the bg
Then the branch before the characters looks a bit weird ... try to change the brush or make them a bit smoother maybe it'll be ok
As for your scan it seems to need a bit more cleaning .. especially the character on the right ... maybe it is just me but the scan quality seems low .. I suggest you then to vectorize your scan
Also the scan seems too bright ... the girls are on a night scene with a big purple moon but the light color on them is very bright and white
I hope that helps and that was not some silly comment because you helped me so much with the walls i posted here :p

I agree with elfe about the orange ball - its really out of place. You did a nice job with the sky and trees, though. Maybe a flying spaceship leaving a phazon trail in the night sky would help bring this all together. x)
There's a bit of unextracted stuff at some place...i think between her hand and her sleeve on the left there.
i agree with a little spaceship, shooting star...whatever at that space there on the right next to the moon. because it's just a tiny bit empty

i don't think it's the lighting very much...maybe it's the skin color?
are the purple things...like purple fireflies...or just ..stuff?

I find it amusing that when you look at your wall in photoshop everything looks good (ie. extraction, lighting) but when i open up the link i've posted here i can totally see mistakes. odd... ;P
i'll go over the edges of the scan alittle more, i can see some minor extraction issues. i think i'll get rid of the purple dots. lol, i was trying to give it an aethereal feel but they just look like dots ;) and i'll lower the lighting on them just a tad.

Save as bmp, more space but more quality much more I think anyways. as for the scans did you increase their size they look pixled? :P

I know it's odd. i decreased their size not increased. why did it get all pixelated? i even try to do it gradually, i heard somewhere in one of the posts here that it helps. maybe i need to do it more gradual. of course there's always vectoring but i'm not sure if i'm in the mood for that ;P

So, i figured out what was the matter with the scan. originally (when i didn't know anything...literaly) i had colored it wrong and basically made a mess of it. i accidently extracted that one, so i found the original scan and re-extracted it. i changed the position of the planets, sorry, but i didn't change the color. i like it too much the way they are ;P
lol, the spaceship is from the series. i found it another scan in the gallery. does it look odd? i'm 50/50 on it.

i don't know if you can clean up the tree part that's right infront of the white part of the "planet" because it looks a little blurry
