...the pic...was a page from the manga that i tried to color...is it ok =x
the bg was a rl photo..and i didn't want it too real..so i added alot of different filters=x
it looks...too empty...
i already made the wall size smaller 1024x768...it was originally 1280...so that eliminated most of the empty space xD..but yea..there's still some..
and is the fence funny? i don't know how fences really end at the bottom =x...and i just noticed it looks so far off from the ground x____X
and the poles...

Wow, this is a very nice concept for a wall. Just do some improvements on it and it can easily become a fave :P
Like you said, the fence not reaching the ground looks...odd o_O
You need to make it touch the pavement! The poles and pavements themselves need to look more 3D. Try to bevel and emboss them if you can. Also, the leg of the bench looks a bit too blurry, and the colors of the fonts don't seem to fit...
But really, you've such a nice start. I can see something great coming from this ^^

Lol still it looks like the posts are going straight into the ground but its better maybie add a stroller or something to fill space
Hmm...I like the some of the changes you made, but there's still something not right.
I like how you made the fence touch the ground, but maybe it won't look as plain if you make the fence connect to a concrete wall halfway down? Nice texture to the pavement and bench, but notice that the left side of the bench is not evenly textured. Also, the leg on the bench right now actually looks worse than when it was blurry since the dark brown outline doesn't blend in very well. You might wanna fix that again -_-"
Great job with beveing and embossing the post though, it looks much better now. I also like the new font, maybe try to make the colors stand out more? Sorry if I sound like I'm complaining a lot, but it's just because I really like the concept of this wall and wanna help make it better ^_~

Change of font colors...added birdies...because i thought the right was a bit too plain...

OMG i'm so dumb.. >O< i merged the layers and i forgot to undo it x___X so now i can do nothing about the bg...
the fence connecting to a wall...there isn't much space beneath the bench =x... so i thought it might look funny...it'd also take away from the tree bg=x

Cute birdies! Very thoughtful of you to put them there. They really fill in the blank space. One thing though, you might wanna put some shadows on them to make them look more realistic. I see you also made changes on the bench leg and fonts, I like them much better this way ^^

I think the only thing keeping the background from blending with the characters is that the background is very dark and full of shadows and the foreground/characters are very light and don't have much contrast with light and dark... that makes them a little too different to match the background. Also they look a little jagged, like a vector with the lasso tool instead of the pen tool.
